I am really concidering the Pro4, I really want the 415 though.
Pro4... HPI releases a new car about every 2 years after extensive testing...and full support from start to retirement. The only exception was the Pro3...a car not fully tested..but it's design was innovative. Yokomo is the same as Tamiya...new car or variation every couple of months...

Is that because of the markets outside the U.S. demand new cars every couple of months? Do people (outside the U.S.) buy cars just because they are new?

The Evo is an ever evolving chassis, and you should expect a new one a year. I believe the sticker sheet for the Evo 3 goes all the way up to an Evo 8? You must also remember the Evo 1 and Evo 2 were kinda duds, and Tamiya probibally didn't want to have a bunch of discontinued inventory taking up space in the warehouse. Also, even if produced in the same numbers of rhe Evo 1 and Evo 2, the demand for the Evo 3 exceeded their expectations and they sold out a lot faster. The 414 was a 5-6 year old design that had been tweaked over the years instead of radical changed. The 415 is now that radical design change. I'll admit I am thinking about getting a Pro 4 myself. Murai designed both cars so the performance should be at least on par with the Evo 3. My only question is does the 415 represent the basis for the TA-05?

I think you know exactly what I said... and I do believe you are TC3s owners judging from the way you reply. I`m happy and respect you to like what you choose to drive

Yes they do. At least from where I come from. Everything has got to be the latest model, from our 1:1 cars to our television sets, from our mobile phones to RC cars, from ESCs to Servos, everthing has got to be the latest....it is sickening.

The internal ratio of the 415 would appear to be 2.1875. Rick

The adjustable belt tension bulkheads are a good idea, it will let people set the belts to the tension they want. The pullys are 3 teeth bigger on the diff and 1 tooth bigger on the center that a 414 which shud enable a looser belt setting due to a larger belt wrap around the pullys. Rick
