I guess it's nice to have friends in all the right places. Today I was handed a specially built lipo tray designed specifically for the 415. This tray is nice and now I can run 5000's without any issues. I may have to post a few pics after the easter egg hunt tomorrow
Second from the outside on the front and second from the inside on the rear and yes it was very aggressive.
Hey Phil , Ive put all the 416 parts on the car and it feels gooood .
The way i see it with the short arms, knuckles, uprights, suspension blocks and ackerman spacers all 416 with the 10x5 bearings in the right places (instead of the 9x5's) i should see a bit of a difference.
Have a great easter

i do use the team assosiated ball diff grease though and rebuild every 4 to 5 days of track time
it has never slipped since i changed from tamiya grease and it can be se really loose if you need it and still no slippage !!!

Hey
You should use it, i think
I just rebuilt my MRE special diff (16 balls) and i covered it with JAAD covers and i think it last forever. Ok, before that i made it last summer..
Racingfactory have them in stock i guess. Give then email and check it

I'm getting ready to order some bearings but am not sure what the complete dimensions are for the 415 original and 415 MS. I don't have the bearings with me so I can't measure them. I did look at the manuals online but they list only two of the three dimesions of the bearing...those would be the inner and outer diameters, but not the the thicknesses. Any help would be appreciated.
415 original
11x5x? axles
6x3x? steering linkage plate
15x10x? outdrives
8x4x? center shaft
415MS
9x5x? axles
Cheers

Even after you buy that, you still have to get the correct suspension blocks to bring the track width back out...
You can get away with just ordering the two pairs of short arms, and getting the suspension blocks to match. That's really all you need to get the short suspension on your car.
As for which blocks to use, check the first couple pages of the Jilles Groskamp thread to find different setups for different conditions...
If you want to run the bigger wheel bearings, I think you only need the rear uprights, front steering knuckles, and the TB03 axles. I think you also need 2mm shorter driveshafts due to the wider wheel axles...

I havn't made the switch yet...
BTW: Read the Gilles Groskamp thread. Team Tamiya shares all their information and he will personally answer any question regarding setup, parts etc...
yeah but isn't that just for the TRF416 ??
i dont mind asking on there but wanted it to stay on topic
