Congratulations to Brian Wynn for his TQ and Win at the 2014 Canadian Carpet On Road Nationals today in Welland Ontario Canada. Brian's Awesomatix won the Canadian Vintage TransAm (21.5 / 1450 Grams) Class.
In Stock TC Brian's Awesomatix qualified 2nd behind Rob Say's Xray. Rob dominated the Stock TC A while Brian had a rough main.

TQ'd and won 17.5 TC with an Evo @ the Team Powers Cup race at MRH this past weekend against a field that included 5 finalists from the Snowbirds 17.5 A and more. I sent my setup to FJ, hopefully he posts it as its a good bit different from what ive seen from everyone else so far

Congrats to Brian and Gee.
I know Brian was in a challenging position -- as the Canadian Nationals is an open tire race. A lot of us in North America are so used to spec tire racing, open tire is foreign to us...
Also at the MRH Team Powers race - Karl Hoffmeister got 3rd. Gee's setup is online now - http://www.awesomatixusa.com/p/setup-sheets.html

So last night I got to see how catastrophic it is to have a toe link come out (the ball into the rear bulkhead spun out) on a straight at full speed. Talk about a instant snap and barrel roll down the entire straight! No damage, but it was frightening to see it happen. So yeah... check those ball studs!
A good building Tip is to make sure those are well seated and thread locked, because replacing or tightening those after you build the car takes about an hour of taking the entire back of the car apart to do it. I put in 2mm longer grub screws into the ball studs to ensure they had more threads to grab onto. The stock setup seemed to be a bit shallow to me.

I was pretty amazed at how little movement there really was... After seeing the belt flail around in a rubber band car, and the crazy chassis flex the 2014 T4 had on a similar video I shot on my Xray cars... I was expecting to see more drama and more movement of the FFG. Seems pretty well refined!
