I know it has helped increase participation elsewhere, but it just didn't have the same effect here. Half the people that I raced F1 with last year have simply sold their cars and moved on. The guys that did buy 25.5 motors don't want to race against 21.5 F1 cars so they're not happy either.

Too bad to see this happen, it's my favorite class.

I hope your track is prepared after Ae releases their F1 next year because F1 will be back to your track with a vengeance!

I was against the 25.5 motor change (thought it was just too soon) but now might be the time to make it the norm because the new breed of 21.5's are crazy fast in an F-1! F1's were doing the same speeds as 17.5 sedans on the straight away in free practice at my last few races.

Get your cars dialed in now and settle on the rules package during the 'off season' because right now is the calm before the AE storm lol.

I just finished building my '016 and will work on the body after christmas.

As i'm new to F1 I was hoping to find some people who might share experience racing the same car.
Looking forward racing 21.5T outdoors so there's still left some time to prepare the car.
I like the different design of front nose, front axle and mounting of the rear pod and it's not an XRAY
You can find more about the car here:

Don't how easy it'll be for you to get kit and parts as I live in Germany.
But it was written here, that border.com ships to the US a lot.

I agree , 25.5t is a huge mistake. The category is still very young and fragile , we'll have to keep racing with the same rules for several years before even starting to begin a thinking of changing them
this is certainly the only category that succeed to bring a standard all around the world (190mm , rubber tires, 21.5t motor, blinky esc).

Why change that ?

(my 2 cents)

I'm trying! I have cars with both motors, and even have a loaner F1 available to anyone who wants to try F1. But it just doesn't seem to be able to take hold here in the Carolinas. Not sure why.

Last year, we usually could scrape together 5-6 F1's to hold races. This year, we haven't been able to hold an F1 race at all. The cars are gone.

I would love to see an AE F1 car, especially if it raises interest in F1!!

So the cars can flip over even easier? There's mod 1/12th scale. World GT is a bit quicker. I don't see how mod F1 could be fun on black carpet, without easing up on the width rule a bit. Dividing up a weak class sure as heck is a bad idea. Make it mod, or make it stock, don't split it up.

If we want to invent new classes, I vote to bring back 235mm Pancars. Stock 27t brushed motors and 4-6 cells. Foam tires.

A little birdie from reflex racing told me that the new wicked Bada$$ TRG Formula one car will be ready in couple of weeks

I've seen the picture of the car is one wicked formula one car that make everything else out on the market obsolete and thing of the past. I can't wait till I get mine.

Our track doesn't care what width you run, someone would have to chime in about that. the Serpent looks to be a very nice car as well, though. And I hear ya, not a fan of Xray either - really hoping Associated does their prototype F1 they ran a few months ago.

You can find donor F104's in the for sale section here, there are a few of them in there now.

If you do get the TRG one, please post pics!
Little Birdie from reflex racing that the TRG formula one car "TRG117" will son hit the market.. So I got mine pre-order and a one sweet wicked car is all I'm saying.

Your lack of F1 experience is showing It's not the motors that makes F1 slower, it's the limited traction of f1 rubber tires

Besides, this is a scale class with OPEN wheels.... Not everyone drives like Masami

I never driven an F1 car because the turn out at first is hit or missed but now it's more consistent so I'm jumping into this fun class. I mainly run MOD TC so just looking at its just slow lol.. Traction is not issue in my local track. Hobbytown in fresno, CA.. In fact F1 cars is struggling with way too much traction is redicolous and it's hard to free up the due limited tunability.
