As you can see I also like to play with little toys, here is my Roche Rapide F104 with the right 1/2 Shimizus (UF1 series style) :

A lot of fun with it. Ratio 3.2, (93/29/, ESC Team Powers 70A, 17.5T Team powers. Not as fast as my WGT Corally (10.5t) but very enyoyable.

So would I be correct in saying that the 54135 Tamiya premounts would be comparable to the Xceed medium compound premounts?

Nice run man.
I like the track, can make a mistake or 2... and not destroy your car. That'll keep em coming back!
Looks like the cars were hooked up. Good traction or is everyone master tuners?

Great to see UF1 goin off across the country, pit light/timer and all.

That's m&m in Houston. If it was anything like it was a few weeks ago for the first round of the Texas electric on road series traction there is off the hook! My f1 with rubber tires was more hooked up than it is on carpet. Plus Marcus and many of the front runners down in Houston are great at driving and tuning their rides.

Default Back it with silver first

Also looks more racecar-ish

dont mind the front tires. runing those till i sort out some things and get new ones
You need to back it with silver first followed by the black. I've done this with my F201 and it looks great.

My F103 coming out of retirement to do some Silver Can mayhem this weekend @ NorCal.

EDIT: It is a D-Drive Sports body and decal sheet. There are no trim-lines so it was a bit of a painstaking process to get it trimmed just right. The only other disappointment I had was the lexan was really thin in some spots, specifically around the front wing area, which I reinforced with adhesive mesh drywall tape and plastic epoxy.

Excellant run Marcus !! .. That track looks fun to run on . I like the painted curbs . track look to be very easy on the cars .. what are the fast laps on that track? for the layout . ..

Read on a few more posts...he explains this wasn't the issue.

Very nice!

I noticed that with these real classic bodies, even the Pro10 front end as used by Corally and TOP can look appropriate :P.

Prepare to be flamed for suggesting that pancar front-ends would EVER be appropriate in RC F1 circles.

as mentioned before, the problem was not coloration but the new coat of pain melting off the previous coat. Besides paint peeling the colors looked exactly the same. I do actually prefer this look though, ive been wanting a flat-ish colored shell on my F1 for a while

Used to that, I drive a Corally F1 :P (The mk1, admittedly, which has a fairly decent front-end, but still)

Now there's an idea...T.O.P. Rebel F1 with stock front end and vintage F1 body in 200mm and foam tire spec...hmmm... It would look "scale" since the bodywork will more than likely cover the suspension arms.

I really don't get the whole argument over "scale" front ends when the rear end on all but one current F1 isn't "scale" to begin with. I mean, these cars are really just replicas, and until we can get independent front braking and rear drive, 4wd and FWD r/c models are dynamically closer to the real thing than any rear drive/rear brake only model we have now. Are we going for "scale" functionality or just "scale" looks?
