I think PF let McAllister take the risk in producing a TA body then jumped on the bandwagon when they seen how popular it became in a short time. I think the McAllister bodies are nice. I use their F-150 on my oval truck when everyone else runs a cookie-cutter PF body.

I just appreciate that companies are putting value in producing vintage bodies.

Now if HPI would just make one too - cause THAT would look "realistic" -

It does seem kinda crazy that (the Gen2 FIREBIRD) had the smallest presence in Trans/Am of virtually ALL MFGs but now there will be two r/c co's making them -

BRING a COUGAR - a FORD FALCON - The RIGHT Camaro - the Early Javelin - a 67/68 Mustang Coupe or Fastback - but...put the COUGAR and 70 CAMARO on the top of the list.

HPI would make it and it would be 50 grams heavier than PF and McAllister lol.

nothing wrong with a heavier body

especially if you run a newer chassis and have/had to add 100+g of weight

I would much rather add all that weight to wherever I want on the chassis than have it floating around 4 inches above the ground

IMHO of course...

My HPI 70 Boss only weighs 125g and thats with a ton of shoe goo and plaster tape in the nose. I dont think the weight of these bodies matters at all. I had to add 300g to my pro4 to get it legal. Its also not like you have a 100g ball on top of your antena tube that just flops around. The weight of the body wether its 50g or 200g is spread over the entire car. This isnt SCT where the bodies site way up high. My body might be 3.5 in. high at the roofline. If you think the weight of the body shifting is whats slowing you down... whatever you have to tell yourself to sleep at night...

I totally agree. Why is there a VTA class at all, if it isn't for the desire to have scale-looking race cars that we wish we could've owned & driven? If you'd rather have a super-light body that sacrifices scale appearance for weight and looks like those weird Parma & Bolink bodies from the 80's with wonky proportions and watered-down body-lines, then there's probably a better class of racing for that.

How about a Carrera Panamericana car!!

Ok, it's more like just an old Bomber body - but hey, they could be cool for a oval / road course series too!
