This is true. I doubt tamiya will be making a current body any time soon and it is hard to find CURRENT F1 style bodies. It would be nice to see a quality F1 body representing the 08 or 09 season while still being THOUGHTFUL about the fact that if you want to race, the body will hold up to some beating.

The thing I like about the Chevron body, is that the undertray, diffusor around the edges is molded in and makes the body way stronger. It would be nice to see something like that.

I don't even want to LOOK at the 2009 cars, let alone curse my R/C car to using one.

The New Red Bull, is the best looking car of 2009, the ugliest must be the Reneault.

They all look like rolling clusterf***s to me. I'm a long...long...long time F1 fan, and seeing these new cars is just sad. Especially since anyone who knows F1, knows that all these changes wont improve passing. Theres a good reason that the same tracks every year have the most passing...

...its because they're well designed.

If these new cars suddenly make tracks with one passing spot (the end the straight), amazing passing meccas, then I'll eat my words and put a 2009 style body, painted with pink roses and power puff girls, on my car...

...but lets just say I'm not worried!

Built my 103R while watching the 500, what an awsome kit to build. Totally worth the price of admission. just gotta get the rest of the electronics mounted, then she'll be ready to run

If you want to do it all out, you'll need a new bottom chassis, front axles, wings, body, rear axle hubs, and possibly a few other things.

Here is my new Mbody and F103R. I wanted to order the TRG body but they were out of stock and personally $30 shipping isn't my idea of fun. I painted it up like the Mp4-20 test car driven by Kimi. I switched the Mobil and Mercedes decals by accident and added a few decals that arent on the real car. I think it turned out pretty cool - I need some more recent wings though.

Nice set up you got there.

I am guessing bare minimum would be, front and rear axle, wings and body?

Hell, I agree with that too! Not to mention that those "72 diffuser" cars make for unuseable R/C F1 bodies. I mean, if you get one of those bodies for your F1, who would be crazy enough to actually run it! LOL

They need to remember that there is a mid point between the cars of 2008 and the cars of 2009.

I dont have time to look up all the part#'s, but you will need the main chassis plate, front uprights, front kingpins, diff axles, and thrust bearing. Probably around $40 worth of parts

The new TRG Advance front and rear wings are sweet. The rear wing is adjustable and looks very nice. The front wing is more stable and takes a beating. Pair it up with any of their low nose bodies and they look awesome. I need to detail my rear wing, but I'll post pics of my MP4-7 shortly.

From what I have heard it would be cheaper to just by a new kit.
