Losi shocks on AE car
Building AE shock is a pain and I was wondering if anyone has tried useing XXXS or other appropriate length Losi shocks on a TC3? Do both brands of springs work on the losi shocks?

Why do you think the TC3's shocks are a pain? Is it the filling & bleeding of them?. If so there is something you can add that'll make it a LOT easier, just replace the shock caps with ones from Yokomo shocks(can't remember the part # right now though). They have a bleed hole & screw, so all you do is fill the shock completely(almost overflowing), then put some oil in the cap(with the screw installed), quickly screw on the cap & then take out the screw, slowly push the shock shaft all the way in & then reinstall the screw. Then your shock should be just right(it may be a tick messy, but IMO no more so than doing it without a bleed screw)....

I tried the yok shock caps and they leaked. I have found it is far easier to setup and build losi shocks.

CGR,
Its kinda funny that you brought up this topic. I happened to wonder the same thing as you, but I went ahead and tried it. The shocks will fit, but the major problem I had was the fact that there was not enough thread on the shock bodies to help set proper droop/tweak. I'm sure with some more work, I could get it to fit perfectly, but I it was more an exercise to see if it would fit than anything else. If you decide to try it, let me know your results.

u want Yok style shocks??..... get a small drilll & self tap screw (like yokomo). Drill a hole in the shock cap, clean up any burrs & now u have a bleed screw like the yokomo caps...
All of my associated cars have this & it works Great

speaking of shocks..I bought a set of Hot Bodies shocks for My Sport 2 and I cant find springs to fit it anywhere..and the HotBodies website is under const...any ideas?..the lower retainer and the adjustable clamp are larger and std HPI springs dont fit quite right.
