Drag Brake problem
Ever since the whiners won and got boosted classes eliminated from racing, I've had to run non boosted. Problem is, when I go to blinky mode, I get NO drag brake. I've tried it on 4 different tekin speedos and it's the same on all. Is anyone else having this problem?
From what I remember, the gearing required to run non-boosted really puts a hurting on brake power.
How much motor timing are you running? More motor timing seems to hurt brake power as well.
Glad there's still boosted racing at my local track.

running a duo 1 with middle timing. I think it's 10 degrees. I mean, I get NO drag brake. I have it set at 40 and...nothing. Car doesn't slow even a little. regular brakes are fine. It's just drag brake
Maybe someone else has some idea, but most guys I know don't use drag brake.
How high have you tried running the drag brake setting?

I've taken it up to 40. I'll crank it up to 70 and see if I feel a change
I'm trying to remember if the timing settings in the hotwire setup directly refer to the degree's of timing or not.
i.e. is setting the the main timing to 50 with 10 turbo, giving 50 degrees of timing with another 10 added in turbo?
Thanks

For sensorless timing advance, it's a percentage. How many degrees 100% is, I don't know.

timing advance is 30* max
What's the best way to determine if the sensor wire is bad?

Randy thanks, and I was told the only way to tell was to replace the senor wire with a new one.
Does this method also apply to the Rx8 ???
