Ok, try 30 timing boost, 10 turbo with .4 delay to start out.

Contact M-Technic. He has a 17.5 in his Tamiya and it's rediculously fast. Actually, he posted his setup a few back. Just try to find it.

Alright, looking for a little trouble shooting help here.

Just got a RS and I can't get it to calibrate to my radio properly. Heres what I'm using:

Futaba 4pk
Futaba R604FS

Heres whats happening:

-Turn on radio
-Turn on speedo
-Hold mode button 3sec
-Speedo enters calibration mode
-(#4 LED blinks) I leave throttle at neutral...Neutral calibration sets
-(#7 LED blinks) I pull throttle to max...nothing.....(#7 LED continues blinking)..

Then I realized that it would actually set forward throttle if I pushed rev on the trigger. Basically meaning that pushing forward on the trigger made the car go...not good. So logic said simply go into my radio settings and rev my throttle in my radio and try calibrating the speed control.

Sure enough, this worked.

Question is, will this cause any problems? Tekin made sure to mention several times in the manual to make sure that your radio throttle was set to "normal", then here I am only able to get it to work with the throttle set to "rev".

Just want to be sure this will not cause any issues. Throttle and brake seem to be working normally in the limited space I have to test them. I haven't had a speed control need the throttle in "rev" since my novak rooster way...way back in the day.

As theisgroup and InspGadgt have said, there is no problem with having to set your throttle to reverse to get the RS to calibrate properly. All Futaba radios, and I also think all KO radios (certainly the Universe) need to be set to reverse for the RS to calibrate properly.

Default Tekin RS Pro Question

Hi all
Well I got my Tekin RS pro yesterday and put it in my son’s car, if it goes like it sounds, man it’s no wonder he was getting beaten using his LRP SPX.

I have one question regarding the lipo voltage cut off setting, is it in volts or number of cells, ie: 2 cell Lipo, this was the one thing I forgot to check to see if I set it right, everything else was fine.
He will give it a run tonight and see how it goes

Regards
Gary

Anyone got a suggested starting point?

I had quite a good setup for a small indoor track, i also used the snowbirds setup apporach and it was slightly slower, but much more driveable.

The SP V3 10.5 motor seems to like max timing on motor, and 50 odd on Timing, with around 10 on turbo for the smaller track.

I would imagine using a normal setup, you could go a lot more Turbo on a big track. Or a snowbirds style by maxxing the Timing boost.

Any ideas apreciated.

Both. 2 and 3 are 2s and 3s. If you take the slider all the way up, it gives you an option to type in your own voltage setting.

Hope you enjoy.

Under our racing regulations, race start doing "oval" or at least not entering into the layout until first lap ... crazy uh ? lol !!
Absolutely cool amigo. Great post!
