I'd leave the RPM window as is if you have a few slow corners on the track. If there aren't any slow corners and the average RPM is 8600, I'd suggest a starting RPM of 6000 and an ending RPM of 10K-11K. I can't say for sure how much the RPM will change with 40 degrees of timing boost - you'd probably need to use a data logging system to find an answer to this question.

Don't lower your boost at all, but rather up your end rpm to 18000 and give it a try. With the end rpm at 13000 you are at 50 degrees of boost when your car is only at half speed. You keep pulling down the straight because you have the right high end rpm timing, but its just coming in too fast leaving you with weak low end.
So from what I read to increase performance in general with this new software you should turn turbo boost to zero which means delay is irrelevant and pump up the end RPM. I have timing at 45 boost, turbo at about 7 and end RPM at 7000. Delay is at .5. Indoor carpet medium bite, medium size track. Thoughts????

Take your motors kv and multiply it for 1s (3.7) or 2s (7.4)
17.5 is around 2200 kv and 13.5 is around 3300
Assuming 17.5 and 2s: 2200 x 7.4 = 16,280
Subtract around 10%: 16,280 x .9 = about 14,600. This is a good end rpm to start with. Set your start rpm around 10% of the end rpm, so 1,500.
Start with 0 on the motor and 45 on boost as a conservative setting. When you don't smoke anything bump it all the way up to 55. Re-gear accordingly for infield supremacy. If the car feels like it bogs at mid speed before launching then increase the END rpm. If it feels like its bogging from a dead stop, increase the START rpm.
Now AFTER doing the above setup and you are topping out on the straight for some reason, THEN add turbo. Roughly time how long it takes from the instant you grab full throttle going onto the straight till it starts to wind out. Subtract a quarter second and there is your delay. Add 10 degrees with ramp one to start and increase turbo timing until you accelerate down the whole straight. Then play with the ramp to make the acceleration smooth the whole way.
Again, this is (my current) in GENERAL findings. Different motors react VERY differently to timing and most of my testing has been with either the tekin motors, peak/orion, and novak velociti.
Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows if the high speed brakes have improved over the last few software releases. I loved my RS Pro but had to let it go because of this reason.

I drove with Turbo max and normally the brakes a a bit weaker with full Turbo but now they were very good.
I drive now with 0 Turbo and they are fantastic. I lower them each time.
I'm now ad 70%

I only got to run around my house, but after 2 minutes motor temp was 110-115 degrees F. Is that about right or a little too hot for such a short run.
Car feels like it's a little slow to begin, but once up to speed seems fine. What changes could be made to ensure motor temp stays low...lower/higher rollout or changes to above settings.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Real estate is at a premium in the "Solid Gold" gen xl, especially when factoring in the use of a receiver pack. However, I'm sure some "creativity" could allow the data logging hardware to fit . We might have to investigate further to see if we could come up with a solution...

Tekin users were flying at our track. Speed was insane especially in our 13.5 class. They looked like they were modified class . And this is with no turbo ..... yet.

The question was asked what difference 40' of timing boost would make to the upper RPM range. I can only comment on 2c 17.5, but here's what I saw on the datalogger. Without any timing boost and with no load on the motor, an orange 17.5 (@ N/30' endbell timing) spun up to ~17,000. With MAX timing boost at the default start/end RPMs, the same motor spun to 26,000. But most interestingly, out on track, at the end of the straight, towing a 1420g 4x4 up to max speed at the turn-in to the sweeper, that same 17.5 still spun up to 23,000.
Strangely, with just 10 points of Turbo Boost, the motor will attain a cool 30,000 RPM at the end of the straight. Seems like an awfully big jump for just a few more degrees of timing.
