Dual Mode is almost always faster for lower turn motors, not to mention it's a hell of a lot easier to set up without all the other guff to worry about.
So at what number of turns would you use dual mode over sensored?

Usually around 10.5 to 8.5. Depending on the car, the track, and the style of driving. It really does feel completely different, and worth having a try

Dual mode for mod is a lot safer than playing around with timing boost and turbo with a "mod" motor in sensored mode. I've played around with both with a Redline 6.5 and the Dual Mode is a lot easier to drive. My 6.5 on sensored mode with timing boost and turbo was insane. And yes, I did manage to get it setup without overheating the motor and ESC (temping every minute instead of every 2 minutes) but it's not something I'd want to race with all the time. I was using it on a really big track that's more used for Nitro cars than electric. The punch in sensored mode was noticeably more than on dual mode and the turbo helped the top speed.

We have both a boosted and non-boosted 17.5 class running at our local track and I'm debating which of the 2 I am going to run this coming season. I'm wondering if I choose to go with the non-boosted class running V200 software should I run in dual mode or sensored only?

How do you guys plan on enforcing the non boosted class? Is it going to be a tech type thing where everyones RS will be checked with a laptop?

there is a setting coming out with the next update with a flashing LED sequence to prove the speedo is in "stock" mode

If either the delay, or the fact i am not at WOT keep me out of boost, then how is adjusting the start and end RPM going to affect the punchiness i referred to earlier? Isnt that what the throttle profile adjustment is for?

timing boost and motor timing are added together through the rpm range you pick, moving it up and down less es the amount of timing every 1krpm and smooths out the feel, and you don't sacrifice speed

Ok need a little advice on getting the best out of my set up.

The setup sheet for the car is here.
http://forum.teamxray.com/xform/inde...4&setup=t2_007

Im running a redline 17.5 and RS Pro.
Basic settings are

Drag brake 0
Brake 100
No push
Timing at 10
Boost at 15.
Throttle profile 3.

I have been seeing quite decent temps. Around the 50c mark but wonder just how much further I can push things. To help I have also included a layout of the track.

As you can see we have quite a long straight and only a few places where the car isnt at 100% throttle.

Any help to get me onto no1 position would be a big help (currently 2nd)

I figure a screen shot is the easy way, as its actually nowhere near where I thought it was at earlier.

My thoughts are to lower the end RPM to around 9000 or so, and increase the boost to max. But not sure if I'm on the right track in doing that.

Currently my best lap time is a 18.637s I would really like to see that drop to a 17 something if possible.
