CRC 1/10 Pan Car

What brushless motors are you running with a lipo pack? I have a 13.5 right now, and it seems to be a little too much. I was wondering if anyone has tried a 17.5, or even 21.5 with 7.4v. Basically what motor with the 7.4v would make it more or less the same power as the 13.5 with 4 cell.
Our club runs 19T/10.5 with Lipo. 1200gram minimum weight. The cars are balastic fast, the good drivers are close to the 1/10 nitro cars for speed. Sometimes faster.

One caution when using 64P. Some of the guys have been stripping the spurs at the start of the race. 48P isnt quite as effecient, but when running a 10.5/13.5 with Lipo, I dont think effeciency is a problem anymore. :-)

Made some real progress on the weekend.
Changed the front springs to green, and ran GRP Purple on the front with GRP Pink on the rears. (Wide Body). I also put the 0 deg castor blocks in, and gave the car 1deg of toe-in. Car was alittle pushy, so I might switch back to the GRP magenta fronts.
The longer rear links are working well, but I did manage to pop one off when I contacted a board at speed.
Lots of fun running this car though, accidently ran two races in a row on the same battery pack, didnt even notice a speed difference. (10.5, with a TP 4900 Lipo). Used 2400 Mah.

My prototype wide body kit has been working well, no wheel vibration issues at all, but I did take a dremel to the inside of the adapters to soften the edges abit. You also need to be _REALLY_ carefull when putting new wheels on.
I was hoping you would keep the narrow body, I could use all the advantage I can get!

well after almost a month possible a bit over a month I finally got my Gen X 10 going. Ran a test run at work in the parking structure and boy I was very impressed. Running 17.5 78t 48p spur and 31t pinion. I dropped a Yea Racing 3200mah lipo and have at least 50 minutes of practice runs, turning practice and a couple of speed runs. Very happy with this kit and ready to take it out out to the track this weekend for some real test runs. By the way I was running Jaco pink all around and since the parking structure is not treated and tons of black dirt, had may spin outs. It's not after about 20 minutes that it seemed it had better traction. Someone mentioned sun tan lotion for traction, can someone provide me with this info so I can get the tires ready for the track.
Thanks

Coppertone 45 works great for foam tires. Just put a good coat on and let it dry in!!!

Well I finally did it, my first run on a real track nothing spectacular but it was good. Unfortunately my day got cut very short as after 30 minutes I lost one of the tweak springs and I am new to this, I have not built up my extra parts drawer yet. On that note what are some of the common parts that I should keep in stock for the gen x 10? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Well here is a very short video and I should have zoomed in on the track but you can still see the car. Now I shot this at the end of the straight away corner.
P.S. Nitro guys were cool with me since I was the only guy with an electric there but I did catch some guys attention and were impressed with the car.
I will get video next weekend from the second angle where the nitro guys are going into the straight.
Here is my video shot today

and here is a different angle of the track some time ago.

For spare parts I like to keep an rear axle, Diff rebuild parts (rings, diff balls) Some front end parts, and the tweek spring set. CRC offers a set with 5 different spring weights. These same springs go on the front end too, so you can play with different spring combos.

This is the bumper I use, http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTT39&P=7 Its like it was made for the CRC. Its nice and tight fitting on the body mounts, and needs no modification.
