The real Mini Countryman is so big you may as well ask Tamiya to put it on a DF03Ra chassis...

Default M05RA

Anyone try out the M05RA yet? I see them on ebay for $130 shipped. Trying to get an idea of it's performance compared to buying a 80 roller from rctech and throwing on some rally blocks.

Its probably the same as a standard M05 just comes with Rally tires instead of street tires. I have seen Brand new M05s for $100 shipped so i would stay away from used for $80 IMO unless it has some decent upgrades

Wow, that looks nice. It looks like a suped up version of the Mini Coopers in "Italian Job".

How is that going to be on grip (have you tried it out yet) cause I have a 3000KV that I tried out in my M03M and that was all over the place. We detuned the motors to about 2400KV cause anything faster we have issues with getting the power down on asphalt.

I'll be racing on carpet with RP24s the stickiest tire I have found. I'll let you know how it goes. I was getting good traction on the asphalt in front of my house. Our carpet track shouldn't be a prob.

I don't know why everybody says the gears are gonna die. I ran my M04 with an 8.5 and it's fine. The secret to preserving gears is to not be in the throttle when you're in a crash. Too many people have the throttle pinned as they're rolling across the track.
