STEERING LINKAGE
Sportracer,
If you are talking about replacing the brass steering upright that fits to the MO3 knuckle, then do the following. Get along droop screw, place alloy spacers, I used 5mm and then screw on a low friction ball cup. I loctited the droop screw into the knuckle and just tensioned the rest. I replaced the ball cup on the steering linkage with a low friction ballcup.
Will post picture, when taken.

I got my first Mini yesterday (M03L) and built it last night. The parts quality and fit is excellent. The plastic looks like it's super durable and shouldn't break easily. Can't wait to race this tomorrow.

yes the sway bars you listed are the right set for the M04, the mini rims you listed do come in silver but are not reinforced so they are weaker and tend to break easier they are more grey than silver(these are the rims which come as standard with the short wheelbase M03). The suzuki swift body does fit the M04 chassis you'll need to get a set of M03 body posts to make it work, the rear m04 body posts are too short, you should have more than enough screws to refit the chassis.

Does anybody know if the supplied Tamiya grease is ok to use for the diff? I used that, but I thought that I should've used some Yokomo White Diff grease instead.
Also, what is the advantage of tightening the diff? I run in a fairly small/tight course made for 1/10 touring cars. How will tightening the diff affect the handling? Also, how do you actually tighten the diff? I assume using a certain type of grease or tighten the 3 diff screws as tight as possible?

aluminum hub carriers will not break unless you try to. it's well worth the price you pay for it. and use anti-wear grease from tamiya, lasts longer and protects great.

Has anyone found a good setup for the M-04M chassis? I cannot seem to find a good setup to make this car stick at the Tamiya track out here. I either push like crazy, or slide around. I watched some practice on Saturday and people seem to have theirs dialed in. I bought a M-03M Suzuki which seems fast no matter what I do (the driver needs to be better though). Any tips?

The car has a delicate balance. It can be really hard to find, and with out finding a sway bar kit it might make it ever harder to find the balance.
I know that in 2001 the winner ran the M04m the car had a tires on the rear, and s grips or m grips on the nose.

I got my MO3 2nd hand but in excelent condition. Question is, i have mo3 before but it has gray chasis, this one is black but its not mo3-l coz it aint have the middle part to extend the chasis. is this the XB kit by tamya??(expert built)

I am not sure. I have the XB Monte Carlo which is a black chasis. I also have the M03-M kit which is also black. They probably have a grey & black one to differentiate between the M03 XB and kit form.
I tried the Tamiya AW (anti wear 53439) grease in my diff last night and it really slowed up the diff action which will provide better traction when powering out of corners. You can also put an additional spacer in the diff which will tighten it even more but i have heard that this chews out Universal CV joints and it is advisable to run the normal dog bones.
