Didn't the Moore-Speed Cyclone version come out at the beginning of the year? I don't remember.

Looking it up.... yeah it did. Hara and Surikarn versions were 2006. Moore-Speed Worlds edition was 2007.

I remember this as the year of the lowest TC turns out at our local track.
The year oval came back to the "Wood".
The year of the smallest TCS racing schedule.
I saw more batteries/cells blow up this year than any other year.
Year I went to lipo for club racing.
Year I retired from RC. (But I'll be back in 2008 hehe)

TEKIN has a brushless system coming? LOL LOL ok, just joking...I'm actually looking forward to seeing their new SENSORED B/L ESC hit the streets.

- All the major on-road tracks seemingly closing at once? Anyone have a list?
- The rise of brushless and lipo?
- The anticipation of the Tekin brushless systems?

Others?
Someone saying " The year of no excuses.."

Only the fall. 2007 has been the entire year.

Default What about the good stuff?

Rather than being hung up on the negatives (tracks lost) Why not look forward to the positives (tracks gained).

e.g. America gained a brand new world class facility right smack in the middle of everywhere (mid america).

In CA I know

Revelation Raceway closed the ON-ROAD Track and made a HUGE Off-Road Track.

Tamiya has either Cloased or IS Closing

So-Cal is supposed to close as of LAST weekend.

Showtime/Metro 'reopened' their OVAL track in '07 and Full Throttle's facility I believe opened in '07.

So it seems we loose a few, and gain a few every year...but over the past 22+ years we've seen that a lot.

I've seen just in Calif.

One Stop - Cerritos CA
Yorba Linda R/C - Yorba Linda CA
Bob and Jim's Carpet - Riverside CA
El Cajon R/C Speedway - El Cajon CA
The Ranch Pit Shop - Pomona CA
Perris R/C Speedway - Perris CA
Old RACERS HAVEN - Bakersfield CA (there's a new track there now)
HobbyCrafters - Pismo Beach CA
Central Coast R/C Raceway - Santa Maria CA
Revelation Raceway - Montclair CA
So-Cal R/C Raceway - Coasta Mesa CA
Delta R/C - Antioch CA (Not sure if they race anything up there..but their oval closed)
The BIG "O" - Redwood City CA
Salinas R/C Club - Salinas CA

and I know there are a lot more I'm missing...most of which are Off-Road tracks.
