Default 2007 Year in Review - The year of the Major Track Closings?

What will 2007 be remembered for in the electric on-road world?

- All the major on-road tracks seemingly closing at once? Anyone have a list?
- The rise of brushless and lipo?
- The anticipation of the Tekin brushless systems?

Others?

How about "the year of useless arguments on RCTech instead of discussing things to promote the hobby in a positive light so that people would want to spend their 'disposable income' on something fun."

That's not unique to 2007 though. Its been that way since I joined the hobby a few years ago.

I feel another useless argument in the making.

But I agree with Unregistered: The year of exploding batteries. Oh, and the generally wide accepted embrace of 2.4g radio systems.

It won't be remembered until later on. When electric overtakes nitro as the most popular form of power for R/C cars, we will look back at 2007 as the year the electric resurgence began.

I hope you are right! I tend to agree with you and I credit brushless / lipo for it (I also credit them with the decline in 2006 as well). Whats your reasoning for the resurgence?
