We wants it!

Err... the 416 that is. Schoolgirls too, but that's problematic on the marriage front.

Default pics of the 416

This was Marcs Car on display. I was able to get up close and hold Victor's car, but forgot to take pics. Looks brilliant.

Nice

Quick pointer though guys, had an email from Champ today, and apparently they have been informed by Tamiya that the 416 won't come with the aluminium cooling duct... so if you want quick change speedos, you'll need to order one at the same time.

SO will that duct be the same one as for the MSXX?

Ed, have you received anything from RC Champ for your preorder other than an email saying your name is on the list? I am not getting any emails about the TRF416 off them?

I believe, yes it is the same duct.

I am indeed, mainly as I keep pestering them with emails about the car (front drive, duct, release date etc) I've pre-ordered the car with the blue screw kit, the duct, and a S9550 servo... usually get a reply back within a 24hrs.

Cheers for that Ed, will have to add that to the list...

What have they said about the front drive of the car is it one-way, spool or diff, and will they have the diff kits in time if it isnt.

I would assume, that given the pulleys are now split, and that the front and rear bulkheads both have the same width spacing, that the rear diff will fit the front easily, just flipped the to the other side.

In the past, what's been the barrier keeping this car from using foam tires? Is there any chance those things are changed on the 416, aside from the obvious issue of chassis/topdeck rigidity.

Don't get me wrong, I know this car isn't for foams, and intend to get it for rubber racing. I'm just curious, mostly. I don't plan on doing much foam, but I'll definitely want a car around if I want or need to go that route for some reason. I'll probably keep my current car for that, which is more than capable, but it would be nice not to have to split time/parts between two manufacturers.
