I did stock, stock 13.5 brushless, 10x3, 8x1 and 4.5 brushless (except 19T and 10.5) on my TA05R...1st thing to do is save that Tamiya 105T and buy yourself a regular 64P spur gear (kimbrough or robinson). Tamiya gear is a little bit different from the standard 64P. They are like 0.4 module gear (correct me if I am wrong).

I use 108T (the biggest that you can use on TA05R)...and on a 10T, I use 25,26,27 pinion...FDR around 9-9.5 with rubber tires. Of course, that is the safe side of the FDR. I use mostly brushless now for MOD...on 4.5, I use 28/29T that gives me sub 9 FDR...not a problem except I don't think Ta05R drivetrain can take the MOD power for too long....car is more fit for using 19T and slower motor (my opinoin only)....

DO NOT use Tamiya TA05 Spool unless you have the wider toe block or size 46 CVD bones...it rubs and with mod motor, your front end will be trash.
