New Brushless Cooling - TCS
This is the new "Brushless Cooling System" from TCS
The new cooling plate fits onto the speedo.
Various plates are available for different speedos. This one is for Novak GTB, LRP Sphere, and Nosram
The results are amazing. In recent testing the following data was relayed by Spektrum Telemetry
Borden (UK) test - Brushless Motor.pdf
Borden (UK) test - Brushless ESC.pdf
The track and gearing was deliberately chosen to push our brushless motor and speedo to the limit. At 5minutes 20 seconds, the Motor and ESC without the TCS went into thermal cut out mode.
As you can see, once the TCS was fitted, the temperatures came right down and we even had the option to fit more power !

A Complete TCS weighs 48g (approx 1.8oz)
The figures in the graphs are from a Predator, at off-road weight of 1590g.
The results from a touring car at 1500g are pretty much the same, but using a more powerful motor, a 4.5 instead of 6.5, to obtain similar temperatures.

Yes the car was stopped at 5 minutes
The running temperature was taken every 30 seconds.
We used telemetry to obtain the data, so that the car could be run continuously for the whole run, without stopping it.
The telemetry enables you get real time information without affecting the results by having to stop the car and take temperatures.

does the tcs cool both the esc and the brushless motor? or either or?

Yes, there is a liquid cooled plate that goes between the motor and the mount, and a second cooling plate that goes on top of the speedo.

whats the point of the liquid? does it just sit inside the plates?

Do you have a website link?

no, do you have it?

correct me if I am wrong, but the liquid is for cooling. This is achieved by cirulating the liquid from the motor/ esc plate to the radiator by a small pump.

TCS
A tiny micropump circulates a non-conductive liquid through the system. The fluid passes through a thin plate which is sandwiched between your motor and chassis where your motor's excess heat is extracted into the coolant. Forced by the pump the coolant continues to the cooling radiator which efficiently releases all of the excess heat, into the passing airstream.
On the Brushless TCS there is also a cooling plate which attaches to the speedo.
