There is a nice s400 on ebay right now and i am going to bid on it but i wanted to know if anyone has fitted the 40c SMC Lipo's in this car. I have the 3200 and the 5200 as well. The 3200 fit my MSX with the usual dremel work but i dont think the serpent has the bulkhead to dremel. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Any ideas on the thunderpower lipo fit? Does anyone make offset tray for this car? From reading the thread it seems an updated car may come out and that parts are hard to get, is this true or not. I am really looking to get one with a good assortment of parts relatively quickly or i may have to stick to my old 415msx.

Just FYI, if Lipos are over 21mm, they wont fit, and you have to dremmel ...if they are +23mm, you can dremmel and get them to slide in about half way, but could end up with tweak.

The SMC 4000 28C pack fit great w/o dremmel work, but the SMC5000, Trackpower 4900, Orion 3800 30C, etc all need dremmel work.

Does the 3400 or 3800 have that battery pack shape to the bottom or is it flat?

The 3400 25c has the bumps on the bottom too. And it doesn't fit under the bulkhead unless you dremel it down.

ok i was just checking to make sure. I have the older 3200 Team orion pack with the bumps. I did dremel my car to fit it and have been using this pack ever since the S400 first came out. But im comparing the size specs of the newer packs. So they will indeed fit as is! Thank u guys for ur help and Team Orion for making them the same size!! The problem im having with my current pack is when i check the voltage from the pins and the balance connector im getting voltage on one cell only. I loaned the pack to someone for a race and he said it didnt work on his car. So im going to open the cell now and see what i can find out. Will keep u guys posted.

I'm going to sell my S400s, thought I'd give you guys first chance. One has 3 races on it, the other has never been run. Rollers only, no electronics. I was thinking $275 & $300.
