Anyone got a 2wd 1/8 electric such as a motonica p8c electron? If so what are they like and how do you rate compared to 2wd?

The 05 Evolva is completely different. I have that one designed and modeled if you have a local machine shop to cut one for you. I will be happy to send you the files.

Thanks again this is great. I have both models but the m3 is ready to be electrified the 05 isn't. A fellow racer can deal with the machining but let's
deal with that later.,will the 05 retains 4 wheel drive?

Capricorn and Shepherd will have a new 1/8 electro car...both use motor, controller and Lipo from TTB.

They will have a special offer for a limited number of cars (I'think the first 10 cars)
preorders are welcome!

I have read throughout this thread and someone stated bring back pro10(235 cars). There is a reason why no one(will in the Midwest) I know that still races them. With the cost of nitro going up i would race these over pro10 any day....

Have been able to use my 1/8 electric in club days together with 1/8 nitros in 7 minute heats and 7 minute finals. Great fun for sure.

Thanks, the car in the video is my private project, it's not the car which has been released by Capricorn.
It does use the awesome power package from TTB-RC.

The car in the video was basically a mockup model (all fiber glass) to determine if the drive package would work and if the project would have enough potential.
This is also the reason why the car was handling badly, the fiberglass parts were way too soft causing the car to understeer a lot.
During the winter I've designed and build a new version which should solve all the handling issues I faced with the first version.

Tomorrow the last two parts will arrive, I will then post some pictures of the completed car.

Here a nice preview:

Wish they had a pic of it set up with electronics.. Wondering where the battery's fit and what kind of packs it will use? Will it need saddle packs like the serpent?

The original concept looked like it uses 2S shorty packs that are popular in 1/10 offroad. One thing with their 3D model is that it shows that the middle battery pack terminals are blocked by the fore and aft batteries. I'm not sure if that was addressed in the production version or if shorty packs can't be used anymore and a special pack will be required.
