Or this one?

Very nice.

It's a 4 cell 5200mah pack running a 2650kv MMM. Good speed and gets about 9 minutes of run time on a large track like RAMS.

Thumbs up

*NEW* Thunder Tiger KT8RACING - 1/8 scale on-road Go Kart
I am completely stoked about this brand new product from Thunder Tiger! Ray purchased one of these and has tested it out on Mike's Hobby Shop carpet track in Carrollton, Texas. One word... AWESOME!

This 1/8 scale RTR Thunder Tiger KT8 Go Kart comes with a 5500Kv brushless motor system, a 3-channel 2.4GHz Ace Cougar Radio with ATV, steering dual rates, AUX channel button and charge jack. The chassis has a tuned flex design which controls handling without need for shocks or springs. The rear differential is a sealed Planetary gear type diff.

Well, basically yes. Look at this pack:

http://www.rctoys.com/Merchant2/merc...tp+2250+6S+65C

These cells are the real deal!! I'm very impressed with these. Two of these in parallel gives you 4500 mAh. I pack two of these together inside shrink wrap, use a parallel adapter wire and you're all set!

Timezone is about to run our "pre-production E-mugen conversion for the
MRX4. been working over the winter on battery placement and capacity. we are pretty happy with the results. we are now able to get up to 8000mha of
5S or 5500 of 6S. working on some last servo mount option this week. we have 3 of the pre-production kit's hitting the track in the next couple weeks....

would post solid-works rendering of it but the file is too large, will snap a photo later tonight.

Rmemeber there will be an 8th scale E-Challenge at the Timezone Gran Prix this July 22,24, 2011

Well, put the 966e conversion on my 960 the other night. I had to grind part of the motor mount as it was getting in the way of the bearing housing for the centre shaft. Nothing 10 minutes with a dremel couldn't fix.
I've been working through the options for electrics. I think I may be able to fit a 5th cell on the top deck if I move the esc location. That would make it 5 cells, and a whole lot cooler.
Has anyone tried this yet?

You can save the files as a jpeg and then compress the images with Microsoft Office Picture Manager or some other program and then you can post them up. That's what I always do.
I was hoping to make it up there for the race this year but I'll be in the area the first week in July and I don't think I can afford 2 trips up in one month.

Got to run the first pre-production car last night... ran on the older 2650 5S packs since we have the battery tray already done. 2050kv T8 motor 2.52 to 2.17 FDR

we got between 6 to 7 min run time and everything worked perfect. handled pretty darn good with consistent low 15 sec laps on a green track.

Here is a photo of the solid works model....
