Default Soldering Batteries

Hey guys, I have soldered 4 batteries already. Im not really proud of the quality. I know you need at least a 60watt iron right? With a chiseal tip? I have a 40watt well iron station. Also For the shrink wrap do I just put it on the cell and blow dry it?

hi AR... yes a 60 watt would be better for the batteries better yet something with adjustable heat ,, the hotter the better for faster work,,, to much prolonged heat from a not hot enough iron can damage your cells.... shrinkwrap wise... a blow dryer should work fine .. just put it on HIGH Heat

Don't forget to scratch the surface of the cell before you solder. It will help the solder stick better.
