Hi,
Does anybody know the origins of this top deck on a HPI Pro 3. Is it aftermarket or HPI?
I had this one before HPI released the Pro 3 Hara Edition. As you can see, it's one piece, the set-up in the Hara edition had a shorter top deck and an alloy brace above the motor.

Just trying to work out who manufactured this one.

Thanks, but that upper deck there is the same as the one in the Hara LE Pro 3 kit. See picture below. Not sure if it had a Hot Bodies or HPI part number, but it was a later option part. That's the one that has the purple alloy brace above the motor. My original one, as pictured initially, is different and goes back over the motor. That's the one I'm trying to find out who made it.

And your right, the original Pro 3 did not have a top deck, just a Reinforced type plastic tub chassis. These option parts removed the old chassis and added a new carbon bottom chassis and top deck.

I believe the Hot Bodies dont make upgrade part for Pro3 or own different part number for pro3
The Hot Bodies first TC was the Pro5 was designer by Masami dad

Thanks, but that is the one that comes with the Hara Kit, it will certainly do the job, but I really want the HPI one...

if you contact teamprp they made a upper deck that made it easy to remove the battery...but it's a little pricey..you'd get two decks but no hardware...it's what i did

Penguin RC made a top deck kit for the HPI Pro 3. I owned own but gave it at the car away years ago. Below is a link to the website. The date on the website is 2001 so I have no idea if that company is still active.
