The ESC can adjust the timing of the motor. He may have it set to high for that fdr.

Depends on how hot your track is but start with 4.0. Temp the motor after 3 min and adjust FDR from there. Max motor temp should be about 150. Fan is a must or the motor can fade at the 3 min mark. If the motor feels like cogging a little then gear down or turn the profile down a few clicks. SPX is a beast

my question is why the motor is so hot compared to ESC and batt...I thought that meant it was under-geared? I have seen him burn up 2 motors geared his way...190-210 was an estimate...it was smoking hot!

SPX and SXX works best if you almost undergear the motor. Less ampdraw means more effective ESC boost/timing and therefore cooler faster motor that doesnt burn up. Your friend is going about it all wrong with the new LRP's, sorry.

I've got a question regarding the placement of the front belt. I noticed last night, after rebuilding the chassis, that the front belt appears to be rubbing against the front steering post. It's very slight, but has anyone experienced this?

i've read through some of the last 250 pages to find the answer to this question....
is there another trick for building TC5 diff & slipper spool? i've been working on them for a couple hours building my new TC5R. associated just says push harder, but it's a pain in the a$$. HELP!!! i want to race this weekend. i ordered the t-nuts from the RC10. is there a longer screw available from another car?
i've had corally phis and RDXs and the diffs go together very easily.
i've compressed the springs as the manual says, pushed the nut down into the t-bucket and still am not able to get them together. i'll try the hammer and screwdriver method.

Make sure the nut is seated in the t-nut well, use a pen or pencil...

Get 2 sets of needle nose pliers, the nut, the plastic t and screw. Take the screw and slide the t on, then screw on the nut. Only to screw 3 or 4 threads. Then use one set of pliers to pull on the screw head the other set use to push the t on to the nut. This is the best way i have found to make sure the nut is completely seated.

Hey Guys,
I wanted to get a smaller and lighter servo than my Air 94357 so I went with a Fut. s9551 digital servo.
Problem with getting it into the TC5r
It is wider so the servo attachment parts do not line up when I go to mount it on the chassis.
Anyone else running this servo in the TC5 and how did you get it in.
