can someone suggest a setup for my tc5 ft? the car will never see competition it's just for fun on an asphalt street. it has a mamba max 5700 and 3 cell lipo. i would like the car to handle like a competition race car. should i run foam or rubber? and why? suggestions on gearing, but i would like to stick with the 48 pitch gears.

Does anybody use an o-ring in between the oneway outdrives and bones? It seems that whenever the front end "free wheels" The outdrives move out and away from the oneway bearings. This can't be normal?

There are two o-rings just like the ones in your shocks. They go in the out-drives before you put in the dog-bone/cvd.It acts as a cushion also.

Are you talking about an LRP 13.5 sintered? If so, I think your quite a bit too high, your temps must be running high also. Once you get to 180 degs., expect performance to drop, I'm at 5.03 right now (31/78) and keep up with all the Novaks I've come across, temps 150-155 in 8 mins. You may want to compare the batteries that are beating you also IMO.

you are temping that low at 4.1?!?! im impressed... I'm at 4.7 on carpet and temps are in the 150 range. I've got about as much speed on the straights as anyone else. Maybe the timing ring is in the wrong position? that really the only thing I can think of.

Is there a part# for these orings or are they the std. shock orings? I got my car used so they were missing. The shock orings seem too big and bind up the oneway a bit not letting it freewheel like it should.

What kind of difference will having toe-in on the hub have rather than having it all in the arm mounts?

Dasupacat1 - Having your rear toe on the Hub will generaly give you more steering in the middle of the turn. It is more suitable with foam tires while having all your rear toe inboard won't give as much rotation in the middle of the turn and should be better with rubber tires

And what is the difference between the top plate that comes with the kit and a ITF top plate? We run rubber tired 13.5 with lipo on carpet and I noticed that the set-ups on Associated web site for rubber tired carpet call for the ITF top plate. Thank you (in advance) for the help!!!
Ok I now know where the o-rings go, but could someone please explain the itf top plate??????

the ITF topdeck creates more chassis flex and therefore more grip....often popular for rubber-tire racing...if you add the o-ring trick that increases that effect..
