What does increasing spur size do? Is that like putting a smaller pinion?

Anyway, I broke a lower arm in very first round when I got tagged by another truck who shot mine into the face of a landing ramp to get this:

Ironically, I already upgraded the upper arms with Mugen parts, but I will plan to install the SWorkz arm next, kinda sad how's there's no reinforcement on the AE arm, even the Mugen arm seen on the right has far better bracing support along the full length of the hinge pin... sure would be nice if Associated would catch up with the rest of the market in building a true race grade design:

will ALL the sworkz arms fit the T3e?

not without modification, the droop tabs will bind and the arms will need to be trimmed with a dremel to fit properly... I continue to use the stock arms and have been breaking them on average of about once every 3-4 race days. Hopefully Associated will improve upon the design with the next release

If you want the front Mugen lower arms to work properly, then you need to trim out the area around the droop tabs to get a decent fit, the upper Mugen arms are a direct fit without modification, the rear Mugen camber links are also a direct fit, however you need 50mm long turnbuckles, I got mine from Durango.

thanks and same goes with the sworks arms huh. the reason I asked is if I were to change the arms of the T3e, I will change all the arms with 1 brand, and in this case I will choose the least mods required.

Good luck with that, more of my thoughts on this platform here:
BUILD/REVIEW: Team Associated RC8T3e - 1/8th scale Buggy & Truggy forum @ URC Forums

Also don't forget to order diff shims, I needed 0.4mm worth of shims on every single diff, talk about tons of slop! I also had to invest in $20 worth of aluminum spacers because the stock plastic spacers weren't properly sized and had tons of slop too

You will get nickle and dimed on this platform, but it handles great once you get a good setup going, the tuning box is very wide, huge plus there!

thanks again, wow I didn't know there were alot of slop in this kit, all I thought was the arms and camber links issues.

do you have part numbers on the shims and aluminum spacers?

For the diffs, I'm using Durango shims:

For the uprights I'm using Schumacher spacers:
https://www.amainhobbies.com/schumac...hu3584/p170943

I've already provided links to these parts on my review thread and they already appear to be out of stock from AMain, perhaps there are other distributors that might have them in stock elsewhere, or search for the same sizes through other brands.

I'm almost finished converting my nitro to a E version. I am running a 1900 kv motor and am trying to decide which pinions to get. I was wondering what size pinions most are running. Thanks

Hey what does adding weight in front of rear diff do? I've seen several people doing it but don't know why.
