72-29 tight track hi-grip clay to to 72/30-31 @ OCRC (large med/high bite w/treads). The tracks in socal even when large and flowy have jumps you need to carry in stock. The xb2 jumps a little lower, and flat and I'm frequently geared down a tooth compared to associated gearing to clear such jumps. This is with standard rotors (no short stack or torque). I haven't seen anyone geared higher than 32 this last 6 months. Strange how everything here is gearing increasingly downward.

if others are running 32/69 - i would think like 34/72 would be more realistic?
i dont even have a stock motor yet im just considering trying it because the stock class is so much bigger. i run a 6.5t now.

How many teeth are y'all putting to the 75T?

And this is a large med bite track. Keep in mind Xray geared a little lower to clear some jumps...

Could someone list {i.g.r.} Internal Gear Ratio on the Wiki?

my 3 gear should be arriving today or tomorrow. im going to race it this weekend.
ill let you guys know how i feel about it. i run mod class with a 6.5t motor so my rear grip is extremely valuable.
i have a feeling it's going to make braking a lot better and allow me to turn my EPA up a bit more and not risk sliding out if im turning ever so slightly.

Could you post a list of parts needed to convert the XB2 '16 spec to the '17 spec....also I race on CRC oxide carpet and I am having a tough time keeping my inside rear wheel planted in corners.....I figure that I need to stiffen up the front suspension...do you agree? I took 1st in our last club race so it is already awesome, just trying to get it a little more planted.
Thanks

One of the big selling points for me was the mid/rear motor conversion that was advertised on the 16 model. I was told numerous times that it was coming. Now that the 17 is out should I assume it was false advertising and xray is not going to make the rear motor conversion
If it is available and I some how missed it. i apologize for the post above

quite honestly, no one runs rear motor these days anyway. you can get PLENTY of traction with a standup mid motor, they even have a 4 gear standup tranny which is tons of rear bite. the buggy will handle better mid motor with a 4 gear than 3 gear rear motor and it has almost the same or as much traction but way better handling characteristics and cornering.
