Well, the Hudy were discontinued, so I opted for the Ace Hardware $15 bad boys that weren't even close to fitting. I then dremeled the tips down to two nice fine points, and I have snap ring pliers that kind of work, though not nicely.
I'll wait for a set of the Hudy ones and buy them, hopefully they come back in stock or off of Discontinued.

The out drives seem to wear out pretty quick. My car has about 4 track days. Carpet edition running on high bite carpet with gear diff. There is significant wear in the middle area where pins make most contact especially compared to my buddy running b5m with much more run time on his car. Wonder if there will be any updates to material being used.

Maybe it's your diff setup or something? I add a little grease to the dog bone pins from time to time. I wears off in a couple runs, but is easy enough to apply with a q-tip.
One big difference is the hardness fo the Xray dogbone pins. If you don't punch them out before they square off, they'll eat the outdrive.

I've been running the 3000 cst fluid. Everything is smooth no binding of any sort. I noticed another member way earlier in the threads mentioning something about the wear as well and saying he was looking at spending $30 a month or so on replacing out drives. I will try greasing or running some teflon lube.

has anyone tried anything like Tamiya anti-wear grease on the axle/diff outdrive? I am considering applying it before I even run it. I'm not sure if it may actually do more damage by possibly holding more dirt though.

Yes, he is.
I think the OP was trying to understand what the heat shrink represented not what springs he was actually using. At least that was my take (assuming he is familiar with Serpent, or other springs that use paint to indicate spring rate).
But yes, he is using AE white front and rear according to his setup sheet.
