Team associated provided a kit of anti-roll bars for SC5M ... Only for the back! Unfortunately, during the design of this new platform, Asso saw no need to propose an anti-roll bar to the front ...
Never mind, we will see how to recycle expected JConcept kit for SC10 and SC10.2!
parts needed
The kit JConcept # 2166
Two 3x20mm Flat head screws (FHS) to replace the screws provided in the kit JConcept who are not US
You'll need a drill with a 2 mm drill, a screwdriver 2mm allen and calipers.
Fix the support bar
The first step is to install the rod cradle on the chassis. For this, unscrew the two 3x10mm screws holding the front part and the central part of the chassis. Install the brackets with the two 3x20mm screws that you will be provided in advance.

Install fasteners on the front triangles
Use your calipers to mark the drilling points for installing fasteners of the anti-roll bar. Open it to 26mm, set a benchmark in the center of the fixing axis of the triangle, the other marker is in the center of the drill hole (see photo). Locate it with a pencil.

Now, enter your drill with its 2mm drill. Place your screwdriver perpendicular to the triangle so that the hole is well in line and drill a depth necessary to place the fastener ball joints.

Then screw the balls in the holes.

Place the anti-roll bar
Last step and not least, install the anti-roll bar on the frame! Use the bar "U" and check that once installed, it does not hinder the movement of direction.

just the ones that were intended for the b5m rear antiroll bar; I kind of just eyeballed it once it was mounted to the arms.

The track was in great condition by the finals of that event, but even when the track is looser that setup is still very easy to drive. The only time Id take the sway bars off is if the track is very low grip and very tight with no high speed sections. I find the sway bars help SCT on a rough track as there is less body roll and therefore you maintain better suspension travel during bumpy corners.
The grey front springs and 37.5wt oil make a very big difference to driveability.
The front sway bar is more important than the rear - running a rear sway bar only will reduce rear traction on a dusty surface. Running the diff too loose makes an SCT feel terrible in my experience.

Hi Ray.
Im still waiting for a sway bar set to arrive and have a Championship race tomorrow.
In the absence of a swaybar Im wondering if raising the front roll centre slightly would have a similar effect as the sway bar?
I will be going with 37.5 oil and gray springs as per your suggestion.

As you can see from the pics its a big fairly fast outdoor track. The clay is very hard and dusty with very little traction.
EDIT .........Nevermind. The meet was cancelled due to rain and the swaybar set has finally arrived .
I used a b5m rear set the same as the photos above, mounted in the same place with balls 26mm from pivot point.

Hey guys. Im new here and new to the racing world.
Just a couple of quick questions on the SC5m
Im looking for a durable SCT for my 1st SCT. Would you recommend the SC5m for someone like myself?
If so, which top 3 recommendations for the initial upgrades do you suggest? Ill be racing on outdoor clay loomy tracks.

I can recommend it for durability. It has the toughest front end of any of my associated trucks.

The front springs you are using, are they the #91637 or #91329
I brought the FT med spring assortment but it has #91329 which seems softer and is shorter than the white spring that came with the kit

I'm having an issue with nose diving hard on jumps. I have a lot of weight in the rear. Both Brass mounts and rear battery position. Have gray front and green rear springs. Shock oil? This was in 17.5 race today, not as bad with a mod 8.5 because I can drive it better and juice it at take off. Thoughts are appreciated, thanks
