Tekno RC SCT410.3 Thread

I have finished the build, you can expect all the same great things Tekno is known for! The kit went together great, and the parts quality is superb. I am planning on running it with the bone stock setup tomorrow on a tight high traction clay track! I will report my findings.
I have put all the pictures with remarks on building the shocks in a story format on photobucket in the name of not photo bombing the whole page! Click the link, and scroll to the right. If you have any questions on how the build went, ask away!

Thanks to Tekno for a great kit, and true passion for the racing scene.

Nemaris, what weight diff and shock oils are Tekno calling for in the stock setup?
#276
does it come with the black or white shock pistons?
#278
According to the manual, the pistons are part number TKR6008 which looks like the same as the original sct410.
Here is a link to the manual http://www.teknorc.com/tekno5/wp-con...structions.pdf

question on the setup sheet as shown in the manual.
Are the aluminum hingepin blocks the same as the composites as far as position settings or is there a difference on some? Reason I ask is that looking at the setup sheet, the "C" Block is listed as "-1" for the aluminum one?
For the stock setup, what kind of "conditions" is that considered for? If I recall correctly the stock setup for the V1 was considered for "smooth" tracks I think.
Would this one be worth running as is for rough loose 1/8 tracks or what should be changed right away setup wise?

I plan on ordering this kit. New to Tekno, somewhat new to the hobby (about a year). I have an SC10 FT and it's ok. I'm going to sell and move on to this beast. Many of the guys at my track have the current Tekno and they tend to beat up my SC10 a bit (lol). Few quick questions, although may be too soon yet, given this truck is just starting to ship. Thx
1) Budget friendly body suggestion?
2) Have a new Solar Servo D771 in the tool box ([email protected] 64g metal gear high speed). Any ideas if this would fit? If not any budget servos you guys recommend?
3) More of a general SC question, what servo horn do you guys use most often? 23t-25t?

For 3. it depends on your servo but I think 25T is pretty common.

For 1. I would say there is a body that was being discussed, It think from JConcepts that has like a "wing" built into its rear area, not the Nissan body though. I would probably give that one as it may help with any nose down effect isues.

that solar a pretty nice servo spec wise. you MAY need an extension to get it to the rx box, but i don't see a reason why i shouldn't fit.
i'm currently using the tekno horn on my ds1015, but will be using the serpent horn when i switch to the radiopost green servo. they tekno horn fits well and looks great. either way, an aluminum horn will be your best bet and there should be a few choices on page 1.
