I have a set-up question in terms of the 3 diffs for the car.
I run on a dirt track that is loose, but once watered becomes probably medium traction.
I was thinking of using 7 000 in the front, 100 000 in the center and probably 3 000 in the rear. Does this sound reasonable.
I am worried the 100 000 is too much.
Any thoughts suggestion. Thanks again.

I know that my video I just posted was crap footage... of the first few laps I had with my kit. but it's a pretty dry/dusty track, and if watered... I'd say it's tacky.

here is a little better footage of the track, you can tell how dusty it is~
(sorry if you don't have FB, I didn't post the vids, and I told them to use youtube~)(look for the vid for the 2wd.) the 4x4sc, and 1/8 buggy are on the other track.

I'm running the 100k for now, and I didn't feel like I needed more steering on power.
The lighter weight center oil will help make the car feel easier to drive on a real rough track.
But if you look back a few pages there is a pic of a guys buggy with bald center lines on his front tires. As he throttled, the weight of the buggy transfers to the rear, adding grip to the rear, and lessening the front.... the center diff spools(unloads) all that power to the front wheels. and they spin like crazy because there is no weight on them and they are getting much more power. They balloon and the center line wears very quickly.
I'm running 20k/100k/7k
each kit's diffs (mugen, hpi, traxxas... not your D413 vs. my D413) behave a little different when filled with the same fluid...
(If I put 7k in the rear of my Mugen MBX6, it would feel like it was damn near locked... If I put 7k in the rear of my mini revo... it would feel like water. As an example, I run 50k/500k/30k in my mini revo. and for my mugen I'm at 5k/10k/2k)
So if you have another 3-diff kit, you can't always compare the same fluids, and expect them to work accordingly.

What is everyone discovering about sway bar setup? Other 4wd generally had sway bar on back none on front. Any sway bar tips for medium bite rough clay?

nice vid jason. i can't help but hate all of you unprepared people with no electronics that got chosen to received a buggy from the first batch. i've had everything ready to go for this buggy (esc, motor, batteries, servo, servo horn, tires) for weeks and yet.....no buggy. no, actually i'll expand on that. i hate EVERYONE that has a buggy!!!!!!!

Who did you order through? I assume that if you went through one of the big online shops that you ended up in a queue.
Also , I had my electronics for months now... Got the RSX when it first came out and it just sat in a box until this ride got here, have had tires for weeks... still don't have my two extra sets of wheels that I ordered, might get those in a week or so.
Another agenda, would be likely spare parts to have on hand. I assume the edge parts:
Shock towers
arms
knuckles
hubs
hinge pins
drive shafts
But do not want to get several hundred $$ in parts, at some point you just get a spare kit.
I wonder when and why the first used D413 will show up...

T. Deguzman,
It will be super hot here in Louisiana soon! 120 degree summers with 100% humidity!
Folks are having overheating or high motor temps already in spring time! Guys are stating that the lowest pinion they can go is 19t
Is there a smaller spur gear coming out soon?
what are your thoughts on this?
Guys that are having hot motors, what turn motors are you running? I know Boost, timing AND current limit affect temps

Have you guys considered turning back the mechanical timing on your motors a few degrees? A few less RPM's and some more torque might help.
Ty's odd little fan mount makes sense now that you guys are reporting over heating issues.

here's a quick final drive chart for the D413:
pinion/spur --> FDR
20/72 --> 11.91
21/72 --> 11.34
22/72 --> 10.83
23/72 --> 10.35
24/72 --> 9.92
25/72 --> 9.53
26/72 --> 9.16
27/72 --> 8.82
so according to some of you, 11.91 final drive isn't geared low enough? i did some checking in the AE site for their B44.2 setup sheets. in general they run a 10.66 final drive with a 6.5T motor using a 19/81 pinion/spur combo. they'd have to go all the way down to 17/81 to even get an 11.91 final drive and i didn't see any of their setups go that low on gearing even for guys running 5.5T motors.
Ty runs a 5.5T and he's at 11.34 final drive (21/72). show me concrete evidence of other 4wheelers in your respective areas that run gear ratios 11.91 and up then we'll see about making new spurs or whatnot.

Always thought that was odd seeing a fan on his motor.

Maybe something to do with running a center diff instead of a slipper, more rotating mass.
