Thought I may have assembled something wrong but after checking it over carefully, I don't think I have. Same issue with center diff and slipper clutch.

I notched my cam on the top.. But now I seem to be having spur gear issues.

Also, it looks like you Spur is backwards. Offset is not the same..

I'm sure that there's something simple I'm not seeing at this late hour, so I'm asking for some fresh eyes and ideas.

Here's a picture:

When you are running the center diff the spur does get a bit closer to the motor bulkhead. Had the same issue on ours, but was able to flip the pinion and mount it the other way around on the motor shaft.

Just a tip to try if you already haven't

I dremelled a small groove in the cam. Also I shimmed the diff forward a little and when the slipper is fitted, I shim that back a little. This works perfectly for me. Just take care to note the orientation of the spur on the diff. The offset isn't equal.

Like was said, I ran into this and found that the spur was on backwards. When I flipped it so that the tooth # marking was towards the front of the car it corrected it.

I did try flipping the spur around and the offset got worse, so I guess I already had it installed correctly on the center diff.

I guess I'll just try a different brand pinion and see if it's designed differently.

Ahh, bummer. I use Robinson Absolute pinions, it's tight but I can still get the allen in when they are meshed.

What brand pinion is that? I use Robinson no problems. Just looked online and most brands have the set screw closer to the gears than that one does.

All you needed to do was flip the pinion over so that the set screw is toward the outside and not toward the mount

There are none in stock anywhere....A Main included, but some were saying calling RC America directly as they have them? Not sure why they are not getting to shops if the US Distributor has them in stock....

Calling rc America is the way to go. I've had my gear diff for months now. Fast shipping and priced well.

RC America does have them in stock currently anD Absolute Hobbyz has them as well.
I ordered mine from the XRay shop in Austria which takes about 10 days to arrive to any state side location.
