Correct, but technically you would not be allowed to change the ESC mounting or anything other than foam spacers. Just swap shorty and saddle.

Kyosho rim in blue, AKA rim in red. Same tire, same insert (And-1 cut down the same).

The AKA rim comes out smaller diameter, width, and track width when installed. Might be difficult to see from the poor pics but they're there for illustration.

Anyone notice the AKA hexlite comes out smaller/narrower in all 3 areas below? Just wish to confirm. Cheers,

They seem smaller all the way around and the offset of the hex will be off too making it more narrow.

Kyosho wheels are it's own unique offset although they are 12mm. I believe DE has the kyosho offset but I haven't tried them.

Speaking of wheel hex offsets (sorta surprised the front offset was closer than I thought)...

How far is the offset front and rear for the AKA Evo wheels compared to the Kyosho wheels?

i was just wondering if some one can give me some electronics setup tips for my new rb6 looking to get the most rear traction out of it. with my old losi 22 2.0 people were removing the trany to chassis brace to move the battery tight to the motor is any one doing this with the k car? basically my track has good traction but gets really dusty and loose twords the end of the race night. so do i go battery all the way back or battery middle with esc behind? thery are so many options it would just be nice to hear from some one with exsperience with this car thanks.

decided to just go ahead and finish it up heres how my buggy turned out

started out by dremling out the side rails to fit the battery

it was kind of a tight fit for the motor wires a couple of zip ties cleaned it up

Had a quick question guys if you don't mind. I'm planning on getting a buggy in the near future, but what made you choose the Rb6 over the B5? I drove a b 4.2 and a few other buggies after getting reacquainted with r/c and now racing.

No before I start a pi$$ING match, I have drove a ae buggy, a Durango buggy rm/mm, tlr buggy rm/mm, and they all have ups and downs. Kyosho is expensive but you get what you pay for. Most guys that run other stuff are fanboys or don't want to Pay the high prices. Time after time I saw how rb6 was sweet on the track but allways argued with myself to buy one and not spend the money, I am a team Durango fanboy if you will, but the rb6 is by far one of the best. It depends on track and what brands your track carries. If your serious get a rb6, if you just want to do well and not break the bank maby tlr or ae. Cheaper but still good buggys. Weather you get a b4.2 or b5 is up to you. A few guys have them at my track and have been fighting to get them to act more like there old b4.2. Take it or leave it, have a good one and good luck on choice.

Availability. B5 wasnt out yet when i got my rb6. And i kinda like the fact its mid and rear in 1 kit. I wouldnt mind trying a b5m or a mid serpent either thou. But im really happy and invested w kyosho and no rush to jump into another 2wd platform this week....at least.

Fit, finish, quality, durability, the absolute best shocks in the market, rear or mid motor configurations on one chassis. Over the last 15yrs I've owned almost every brand out there and I don't see myself jumping off the kyosho ship anytime soon. In my honest opinion kyosho is the best.
