Ran the new Avid 4 hole pistons with Losi 27.5f & 25r last night. Liked it much better the the stock pistons, Seemed more planted and jumped much much better.

In stock form, the rb6 is almost perfect out of the box. For my particular setup and track I think the cars massive account of rear grip can hinder my aggressive/flat-out driving style. I like to carry alot of corner speed, and take clean lines. The car grips too well and I need just a tad less side grip.

I'm going to tune a little more on the six arms today to see if I can find a happy medium, however I'll try the 5 arms saturday regardless just see how it affects the car as a tuning option.

Are you using the wide or narrow rear suspension mounts?

What kind of surface are you running on?

I've got the itch to try something new. If I can make it to the track this week, I'll probably pick up a 6.

I was in a hurry to get to the track before it got too busy so I quickly added some weight up front with the low profile servo to try to get it to 1499 for a starting point. This buggy was at 1595 when I first built/drove/weighed it and being down at 1497 makes a huge difference with how quick it is both bottom and top end speed. Didn't get to drive it much but it is FAST! Being able to add weight where/when needed will be nice. The point of all this...... for the RB6 haters, it can be very light with a little effort.....

WTH? How did you get it that low? I did everything I could and still am at 1529. Slipper eliminator, no gear cover, small bore shocks, low pro servo, titanium everything. Lets see a pic without the body on.

I've done both.

You've been debating for awhile, DO IT.

Does it have a lot steering with all the traction?

Just sucks that I've got so much invested in AE at the moment. Oh well, onward and upward. It's was a toss up between this and the Yokomo, but I can't even find a standard B-Max Worlds? model, just the stripped down MR.

There's a big race this weekend, maybe I'll run it there.

The car has ample steering with rear locked, it just didn't fit my driving style, the the guys that have driven my car say they wouldn't change a thing and I haven't until now. I'm just looking for a little more now I'm starting to feel comfortable with the car.

The MR is about as stripped down as the RB6 (steel tie rods and turnbuckles for example) but I wouldn't gave an issue, it's essentially what you'd get going kyosho..

I thought about the Yokomo but I just don't think I want to go back to plastic chassis I can't tune and non velvet shocks.

I wouldn't do it on a big race day though, it's gonna be still enough. It'll be way easier to take your anger out in the car then it would with your AE..

I would go with what you know, maybe just test the new car there if you have the extra electronics.

From what I've read, the MR has the lower end shocks, and gear diff. I can live with the shocks, but having to mail order everything and "upgrade" to a ball diff is damn near a deal breaker. There aren't even enough people running it to get a good feel for what breaks/wears prematurely and what doesn't.

The K car needs nothing. The shocks are the cream of the crop, the turnbuckles are indestructible, the ball diff is one of the best in the business, and I have local parts support.

Winner, sounds like all you need is for the cashier to ask you paper or plastic. Post pics when she's built

Nah, forget teh 5 amrs. If your rear end really is THAT planted, and you are looking for more corner speed, the first thing I would do is switch to 2.5 degrees of rear toe instead of 3. Will be money!
