I agree with lbckevin...the rear tire of choice at WC is The Suburb MC v1...some people run gold barcodes but they aren't as good. In fact, I raced at WC tonite and tq'd stock class with Suburbs.

Question,
whats the difference between the v1's and the 2.0's?

V1's have less tread depth compaired to the V2's so there is usually less break in.
V2's have alittle more tread depth and are alittle thicker on the tread with almost the same design as a BK.

I only run Proline or JC at WC, Everything else is just not up to par.

It was the Super Nationals... competition for the spotlight. There is no such thing as a gentleman agreement at that level of racing. Guys are there getting paid to win. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the track was brand new (i.e. maybe barcodes are better when the track dries out)... but I will bet you $10,000,000,000,000 dollars, the top guys were all running the tire that produced the fastest lap times for the conditions.

Since we're side tracked on tires - anybody try and like Hot Bodies Beams?

They look like bar codes

Default baseline setup

I wS very excited when i first saw they where releasing a new car now i have nothing but unanswered questions
A baseline setup is a starting point we all know that, too many people these days expect a box stock setup to run perfect instead of putting in time at the track to find out what works for the layout and your driving style. I find myself pulling the spacers out most layouts.

If you should choose a car on quality of components, design innovation this will be a solid choice.

if you run a lower traction surface yes....even on med bight they make the car push like a truck. The fronts they make steer perfect and most of the time to much for many cars that lack bite...

This year there was not agreement but in the past there has been with the team managers and the top drivers.

I get the concept of a baseline set up. Im just not thrilled about sverytime they release something new everyone puts the old parts on it. It seems like they dont make the new stuff work for them tbey just divert back to the old. So if the old stuff is just as good y do i want to go dump $450 of my HARD earned money into it ill stick with my +10 rb5. although i do love new kits. Im just going to try and relax and see what happens when it gets to my lhs.

I think its more about marketing not technological advancement.

Wave 1, release new product and the hard core buyers jump on board.
Wave 2, fix first waves short comings.
Wave 3, dial it in and make it perfect.
Wave 4, new product and restart the cycle.

You guys are killing me. Get the car and drive it before all these ideas get strewn all over the internet. The buggy will be out the last week this month. Read the manual guys. If you don't know where to start or modify from that point then buy a B4.1 and do what everyone else does.

Save the negative comments for when you actually know its a negative.

Did you get yours from West Coast yet? When are you going back to OC/RC? The RB6 I mean.
