I'm thinking of turning the steering rack backwards to "calm" the car (it's pretty pointy) this mod pushes the ballstuds back towards the rear of the car ... My question is, why are some guys running a 1mm spacer under the ballstuds on the steering rack? This pushes the studs even further forwards on the car, so wouldn't that make it even more darty?? or am I confused on the whole Ackerman theory
don't forget, you have an easy way to play with ackerman, and that is front toe-in or toe-out. I usually run dead 0, or .5 out. ... so play with 1 or even 2 out and see if that calms the car down. Eventually you start to really develop a slip angle in the front of the car, taking away steering. At some point I will have time to measure ackerman angle with different shims on the rack, and I can publish them. "when I have time" is the key

I've had good luck with it backwards as well. If u hold to steering racks together ( one forward and one back wards with the hinge mounting holes lined up perfectly) u can visibly see a difference. I tried it backwards and never put it back. I hate to admit this but I finally have my buggy handling similarly to my old rb5 with a +10 mm chassis. It's fast and forgiving. Little more initial and mid corner steering tho.

I have the mip diff outdrives the whole kit for the rear. Longevity is more than the stock swing shafts at least. The diffs similar to the stock one. The hexes are definitely better. The wear seems to be better than the stockers for sure. I will keep running mine not going back to stock.
