If your buying used then maybe a good idea to upgrade stuff you thinks been roughly used and for that the steering rack is a must and so are the aluminum suspension holders.
We saw all kinds of rear upper bulkheads break FAR too easily up here. And while I agree that it's no big deal to just replace if they break, but a break in a race equates to a DNF. Running a longer ballstud and lock nut on the original bulkhead pretty much fixes the issue right off the bat, possibly saving a DNF.

+1. And I would add don't over tighten the ballstud / locknut

Hmm weird, I only ripped a front ball stud out the inner left front with a gnarly crash. For rear ones only things that broke were shock towers. I did put all the set screws in so maybe that helped but no nut under . I ordered a futable low pro from tower to shave some weight off, next will do some wire trimming... Love the new 80C packs though best ever yet from IP!!

Sorry - been down with the flu. Yeah, I'll grab a pic of the old/new parts side by side as soon as I get a chance.

Long ball stud, locknut on the bottom, and if you look closely, set screws on the extra holes.

Is the foam to keep dirt out? I have seen it on some TCs but not offroad.

Yes it is. Wasn't it in the manual? The ZX5 and RB5 came with these too...

Huh. I just went through the rb6 and fs2sp manuals and didn't see when to install them.

They're listed as a "spare" though, pn UM145, item no. 39 in the rb6 manual.

oh well. I use these because I'm on a very dirty outdoor track. They last maybe 5 meets between washing and/or replacing

I have a great kit then. I have none of these items and still run the plastic rear suspension holder. I run my car 2-3 a week and still have not broken anything.

I've seen you drive a lot... You don't hit anything for anything to break

I see it. Why do you need an extra screw there?

Will the same wheels that fit a B4 fit the RB6?

The set screw just fills in the space to make it solid and eliminate flex that could break it.
