Breaking the bracket for the rear linkage wouldn't really happen though with the 4mm CF. Shock towers are a different story since you can land on them and if your on clay can easily snap a 4mm shock tower at higher speeds.

I just read in the latest RC Car Action, that the open side of the thrust bearing needs to face the larger spacer. I put it facing the smaller spacer facing the head of the screw. The instructions were not clear at all (even the diff build video on their site). Before I take this all apart, I'd just like to know if this really makes a difference.

Team Durango's site says this: With the tighter thrust washer on the diff screw – coat it well with the provided black grease before dropping the caged thrust balls on top. Finish the assembly by coating the other thrust washer in grease and placing it on top to effectively sandwich the thrust balls.

Actually, I just looked at the video on the Durango site and if you look closely, he places it so that the inner part of the thrust bearing (where the bearings are recessed) is placed downwards towards the smaller spacer... I guess RC Car Action is wrong?

I wouldnt trust RC Car Action to do anything right. Stick to the Durango vids. (after all they made the car) and your good to go.

+1. Outdrives generally wear out for us before we need to replace the diff balls/rings. The carbide balls they use are extremely high quality and make for the smoothest diffs I've ever built. Check them out, you won't be disappointed!

+1. I bought two sets initially one to use and one for future rebuilds. Extra set just sits there in my spares box unloved and feeling neglected. when rebuilding, just flip the diff rings an relube everything and your set.

Good stuff, It's the only grease I use, I still have the stock rings in mine, flipped once after 20 packs, and they are still feeling like new..crazy..

Are you guys having to crank down the diff pretty hard to keep it from chirping? Mine seems awefully tight compaired to other cars I have driven. Wondering if that is making my push issue even worse.
