That motor has been used quite a bit. There's a lot of dirt and possibly kevlar wrap in the windings. It would likely be ok if you cleaned it out thoroughly and installed a new rotor.

However you could send it in for us to take a look at it, clean it up and ship it back new rotor installed for a small charge.

Hi Randy,

I have a little question. Since you guys added the timing profiles. Does the throttle profile still work? The throttle profile slider is still in the hotwire. You can even choose C1 and C2, but I don't see how to set up. Aren't you able to set you own curve? And can I still selection throttle profile 1 and 2 (the concave profiles) I like the throttle profiles more than expo.

And as for the programming on the ESC. The profile LED on the ESC is now for the timing profiles right?

Hi Randy,
I purchased an RX8 from a user here that had just come back from servicing/updating(new case I think). Without the Hotwire, is there an easy way for me to tell what firmware is on it?

How long is a piece of string? 10 minutes give or take would be my guess but driving style and track conditions can make a big difference.I would say 10 is probably max with 2250 6S and a smooth throttle finger.I'm sure Edumakated etc were quoting 12+ a bit for 2650.
