Hey everyone,

Not sure if this has been discussed on this thread before or not but I just picked up a few sets of black compound barcodes for my B4.2. I was just wondering what inserts people like running in them? stock, red AKAs, blue prolines, blue jconcepts, proline two stages? I have always leaned towards two stages myself but I just wanted to get people's opinions. Thanks in advance guys.

Let's have em already.....
We've been seeing pictures and hearing about this stuff for two months now.
How/when can we start buying them.

Loving the Ford F250 Super Duty body, took me a while to warm up to it but I really like it now.

I am going to the Arizona states race this weekend. And people are telling me orange barcodes are the goto tire. How is that compound different than the green or blue compounds that I normally use

Orange is really hard, it is for outside when the track is hot and grooved up. On a track where oranges are the ticket your blues or greens might not even make 5 minutes before being bald.

I just got a hobby wing esc xerun v3.1. Was thinking of putting the new esc on a shelf in the center of the b4. Would this be a good idea. Now I got the Novak edge in the side tray dose okay but the v3.1 is heavy than the Novak edge. Do you think the b4 will roll over more with the esc on a shelf?

I know this is the JConcepts thread but I always use the AKA red inserts. I just feel that they are the best suited for my track.

I just ran a set of Pressure Points and Barcodes in black this weekend and I used JC open cell rear inserts in the front on my 2wd (cut down to 75%) as well as JC closed cell blue medium inserts for the rear. This setup worked really well for a low-medium bite indoor track.

So what's up with the Silver compound? Where does it stack up in the line?

I am really interested in that too. The only mention of it that I've seen has been that it's the handout for the reedy race. Gotta be some sort of indoor clay compound.

On my last visit to the JConcepts web site, it did not list BarCodes for 10th scale buggies..? Just out of stock or...?

Also - my LHS cannot seem to order Black BarCodes for 10th Truck or Buggy...??

Most run 75% of a rear in the front. in the rear it is a little different. Open cell for me has a squisy feel and has more forward bite but less side bite and not a consistant, but if there are little small bumps then it does smooth things out, remember that the tire is a shock too. different closed cell inserts do feel different, and feel different on the track, you kinda need to fit the insert with the tire and compound, so like aka red out of the bag is going to feel pretty firm in a green barcode. The JC closed cell inserts for me feel the best in a JC tire, I use scotch guard to repell the water from washing a little better so the insert lasts, I have had good luck. For me it gives a little better side bite and has a similar and consistant forward bite. I have had bad luck with AKA inserts out of the bag, I have had to soak them in fabric softner and then put them in the dryer to get them to feel right. VP pro is pretty good, but feel similar to JC.
