Did you have a chance to drive the car with the new pipe?

If so, let us know how she runs!

If you had what happened to lowgeared's truck happen to yours then it would be a worthy hop up to grab the drake pipe, but i cant see the point in upgraded it if the one that comes with it is running fine.

I find in mine i tend to nose dive medium to large jumps, and small high speed jumps, on the small high speed jumps the front doesnt even leave the ground and the back lifts up and usually flips, im running 30 weight in the front and 40 in the back, i changed the rear shocks to use the outer most holes on the rear upright and the outer most holes on the lower arms, it seemed to make it a bit better but still nowhere near perfect. My pre load on the back and front is set so the arms are level. The front shocks im using the 2nd hole out on the front upright and the middle hole on the lower arms. Any ideas on what to try next?

Well took it out yesterday!!! The top end has a differance.... and its louder and crisper in sound but unfortunatly a small jump with a nose dive cost me a left front spindle so I might get a aluminum spindles in the front!!

That just about how I run my set up Front :: With 1/4 inche spring tension
UPPER: 2 out
LOWER: middle
The rear : With 3/4 inche spring tension
UPPER: 3 out
LOWER: 2nd on top row

I might lossen the tension to an inche cause of my hard nose diving experience,, but then again my brake is set to drag when I let off the throttle ....That is without a dought why I nose dived ..I should of stayed on the gas a little more to level it out

I'm lucky if I can get my car to start and run for a while I can't wait until I can get to the point where I can tweak all of the suspension and tune the motor. Any ideas why it takes me quite a few times to get it to turn over with the pull start? Thanks!

Always prime the engine ......

Now I found that the factory settings where way to rich after the 4th or 5th tank of breakin!!! try leaning it out on the HSN ... mines only at 2 1/2 turns from closed and it fires almost immediatly!!!! Also preheat the engine. It helps!!

By priming the engine, do you mean putting your finger over the exhaust pipe?

Also, how do you preheat your motor?

What is the HSN, and how do I lean it out?

Sorry for newb questions! Do you have any links to good tuning threads?

Yes its when you put your finger over exhaust for no more than 2 seconds or less let off when you see fuel reach the carb nipplet !

Ok the hsn is the shiny brass fitting on the topside of the carb with a flat screwdriver turn it clockwise 1/16th to 1/8 of a turn !!!!

What tank are you on???

Also check your IDLE needle by taking off the filter (should just pop off)
Apply brakes and see if it is about one millimeter from closed!

Check your plug for disfigurement or discoloration!!! If you get excess fuel on it it might take a second to fire!!!
Plug should look greyish color!!!! Or burnt wether or not how rich it was!!!

The LSN is located on the throttle arm in the center of the arm ( (thats where the linkage connects to)) but dont mess with this one till youve corrected your starting and pass issues!!

Also to preheat use a heatgun or hairdryer<----- thats what I use and get the temps up 140 or 150 even 130 is good enough for mine !!!! Depending on what tank your on the engines piston and sleeve start to expand around operating tempS generally 180 to 230 F' This engine after breakin has a spunky notion to run aroun 250'F range ((( try to keep down best as you can but also look for performance after your 6th or 7th tank))) !! This is ok dont be scared by temps of that hieght while vomiting on the throttle hard ,,, its normal!!!

Ya that really helped me out a ton!

Thanks so much, I cannot wait to tune it properly!

What do you think my first upgrade should be?

Also, can I use PB Blaster on the wheels, shocks, etc?

Thanks again!
