6 battery cells to a pack,
no restriction on brain cells.

Everything is there in the rules to do it. All that is needed is for somebody to put the two together to form the class...

Or would you prefer that we make it a class now?

Would having another national class kill off the existing ones we have?

I would say yes, seeing the popularity of 19t at the Challenge Cup, we are very serious about bringing in that class next year as a separte class. I would even say that I think it will out strip modify. Alot of clubs are now running it and with the current debate on another thread about modify, people will very quickly run it.

There is a good chance that it will reduce the already small mod field. However it could be the challenge some of the stock drivers need to move up when mod is too expensive and such a big jump.

I think that your comments are very accurate and something needs to be done. Majority take the sport very seriously its just a few screw it up for others.

But back on the subject at hand. I would say six cell hopefully that MIGHT force drivers that are in stock now to go up to 19t (but I'm not holding my breath).

At the last round at CH the grouping in mod was 50-50 between 19t and mod.
Over the last three rounds its been slowly increasing.

id definetly like to see it become a proper national on road class. and i think it might even increase the number of people racing modified in the future because its like a stepping stone between stock and open modified.

Are we talking 19t as per AARCMCC rule 4.3.0 "19Turn Motors" or as per rule 4.6.0 "19t Spec Class Motors" ?

Yes!! In the interest of making it more of a stock class and less of a modified class (hence containing costs) I think it should be 19T 24deg fixed timing. How about 6 minute races too? Plenty of runtime in today's cells and longer races will reward consistent drivers.
