Alright race fans, with a week till Ryde CS 2018 here is an update on entries.

Juniors - 1 Entry Remaining
2wd/4wd Stock - 3 Entries Remaining
2wd/4wd Mod - Currently only 15 entries for each class. We would like to run 3 heats but need to see some more entries coming in this week.

Practice will be on Saturday from 12pm onwards after track work on Saturday morning.

Race day will start at 7:10 with Drivers Briefing and first heat up at 7:30.

Ari is bringing his food truck to keep every one fed on raceday.

Thanks to the Tubman family and Campbelltown Hobbies we have 2x Team Associated MT28 to give away to our Juniors.

Keep those entries coming in guys. The track is in great shape at the moment and the racing is going to be awesome.

This was my first year running the Club Series and it was a really fantastic experience.

I would like to re-iterate with what Chris Primmer said at the presentation in regard to control stock motors. For someone new to the class, this was a no brainer. I purchased one motor and had exactly the same power as everyone else I was running against. No tricks, no gimmicks just an even playing field. From my observation, the guys in the lower finals had no more or less power than those in the A. For me, this was brilliant and low cost.

My only frustration was with tyres. I feel like I spent a fortune over the series with pins, bars and "weird" things in three different compounds and still never really had enough of the right ones at the right time. I know their are a lot of sensitivities around this topic however for me, I would love to see this aspect simplified and cost to the competitor reduced. In example, the local Proline series for nitro has a single long wear tyre for all rounds.

Thanks again to all the clubs and volunteers who made these events happen.

Cheers

Chris

They've done well this year to beat a club with a home round. Good to see them getting a chance to introduce their regular members to Club Series. Hopefully this will help build their participation even more. Maybe one day they'll be able to challenge Castle Hill who seem really dominant right now.
