Jarred, no nothing on the 808E yet, there are a couple of conversions but personally not sure what brand they are.
...Ari |
Cheers Ari, I am looking forward to trying these things on Sunday.
With the new shock pistons, I notice they are a little domed on one side. When installing these is it still the writing on piston facing up |

hi ari

Juzz, i would bump up the front shock oil too 550 or 600 and probably up the rear bar to 2.8 if it was grippy.
I tried the Alloy rear brace for the first time and loved it, makes the car much more predictable through the turns. I wasnt running the car super short, only 1mm shorter than std. ...Ari at the NSW titles in the truggy i used the ali front brace and the std rear, found it more responsive to input, turning and braking, shocks 600 front 350 rear std, ride height 2mm lower than std, droop - arms just below level, worked well for me |

Tried the new pistons out on Sunday, 1.2x8 front and 1.1x10 rear. Through the rough sections i found the car was more stable and still took the jumps just as well.
What did you think juzza? |

What did you think juzza? On the smooth parts and the jumps the car felt good with the shock setup and i didnt have much trouble getting over the jumps, even allowing for the taller gearing i was running, double doh..:blush: |

Hey Guys,
Just a few quick updates. If you havent got yourself one of the Hudy 3mm Drive Pin Removing Tools, there great and super easy to use. Id recommend one for sure. Im also now using rear alloy chassis brace. Im also using the new Novarossi Toro Nero Team version in my 808. Look forward to using this baby with the other Xray boys in ACT and ill offer some feedback. Have only run 2 litres through it and "This is the fastest engine ive ran" to date. TORO NERO TEAM = WEAPON JK |
