Our break to race in the Great Lakes Challenge is over. We are racing tomorrow, as usual. Some out of town guys are coming to race as the Toledo track is closed. This would be a great opportunity to get ready for the next leg of the MWS. We host the race the 16,17,18th of this month. The season is winding down and not many race weekends left, until the road trips to Florida! Happy Labor Day to all! GoodRacing!

Why yes, You are correct. We will have our January meeting this Sunday the 15th at Country House Restaurant 5400 West 127th St Alsip IL 9am.
Topics will be track improvements and repairs, new barriers, scheduling a "big" race, the MWS schedule, membership drive, and the usual bench racing also.
I'll make reservations Thursday. I have 9-10 racers committed. If anyone is interested in coming out, PM soon so I can add the correct number of seats. Great breakfast and spirited RC conversation! Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Good work!! Must have been difficult with all the rain and cold weather!! Good job to all at the club!!
The 1/8th is just about ready. Just finishing off the body.
I do still have to break in the engine?!
I want to see if I can get the GT ready too. Not sure..... so many projects the wife has me doing.

Our trip to race 3 in Toledo is over. Racing resumes this Sunday. This will be your last chance to run on the current layout. It was always the Club's intention to have 2 different circuits for the MWS. With the schedule getting busy with the Cincy Race 10 days form now, and the GLC 10 days after that, it 's time to get to work. Thanks to Otto and Ken for track designs. Special Thanks to Karl E. for getting the UHMW sheets to make the track even safer for cars. Hope you're looking forward to racing this Sunday and the new layout on the 20th.
For those not on RC Tech, Here's a link to see the current standings up to the last race. Thanks to MWS Director Dwight Smith for all the hard work and getting the points posted in a timely manner!

I have gotten a number of calls lately about the status of the track that TeamNitro was operating. We did indeed lose our space at the Southland Center. Contrary to some rumors, the fact is they are expanding the building and the track was going to be in the way of the construction. Our relationship with management there was solid and Annie seemed honestly sad for this to happen. I wish her well!
I want to thank the racers who came out to race. It was a great, fun 2 years at that location. The club has a meeting scheduled for the 28th. We'll discuss what direction to go in then. I'll post here when I have news. GoodRacing, Nick A.
