EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!!!!
Vinny's RC Raceway is proud to announce that with the help of AKA and Gil Losi Jr. That they will be sponsoring our new scoring system powered by Live Time Scoring.
"We are very happy to have AKA onboard with us and feel that this will help bring us up to a new level at the track that will allow us to grow into where we want to be", said John Danno of Vinny's RC. Danno also said "We have some other sponsors lined up also for some of our bigger event's that we will have this summer as well. Myself and Track crew are very excited to get out 2015 season underway."
In other news. The track is looking for some volunteers to help with some track maintance on March 29th. We spoke with Andy Krueger tonight during the phone conference and he stated. "We will begin working on a lot of things on the 29th. Drivers stand construction and Track maintenance is our first order of business. We will need any volunteers to be there at 9am." Krueger also asked people to bring some basic tools with to assist. Things such as shovels. rakes, weed eaters and such."
We also spoke with Brian Krakofsky who is in charge of some of the marketing. Brian said "We are still looking for some sponsorship for a few of our events as well as sub sponsors for our regular club races and to fill some billboards around the track." Krackofsky stated, "We are also working on an October race where we can help bring Breast Cancer awareness into our sport weather it be drivers or fans alike."

The track may be open soon for practice. We are working on prepping last summers layout so that we may allow drivers to get back into the swing of things. This is contingent on weather and track prep. Please Call Hobbytown Lake Geneva for track availability at (262)729-4053.

In response to the 1/5th scale question.
4 or more make a class. All you need to do is show up and we will run them. However they will be run on the 1/8th scale course. At this time we decided to focus more on our weekly drivers and to what they run to improve our weekly car count. Once we stabilize our weekly count we may begin to focus on an updated 1/5th scale layout.
Also to be brutally honest. The 1/5th scale's were known to be a problem with the laser tag company as they were having a problem running their orientation and battles as the noise was not allowing their customers to enjoy their experience on Sunday's. This also did pull quite a bit of weight in our decision. The other problem is that the large scale trucks were taking it's toll on the 10th and 1/8th scale part of the track thus driving them and our weekly regulars away.

Driver's stand is coming along nicely. Thanks to Brian for running the show today, and brainstorming the whole plan for the extension. Also thanks to Joe, Bird, Kelly, Tyler, and many more that showed up to work! And Jimmy for raking almost the whole track...lol! We will continue work next weekend, contact John at the store for details.

Attention all! With most of the work being done as far as it can be for now.
We will open up tomorrow at 10AM for open practice using last years layout.
Practice Fee's are $5.00 for non-track pass holders.
Come on out and enjoy the weather!

We will begin at 10:00am till whenever. We will also be working on it Sunday. If we get all the work done Sunday early we may open for practice but DO NOT assume this.
We ask you to bring the following tools with you to help if you can. Shovels, gloves, rakes, lawn rollers and 4 wheelers if you have them. If you don't have any tools to bring we understand and we can still use your help for other non-tooled chores on the property.
Please do not bother to bring any RC's with you Saturday as they simply will not be used through the day or end of the day.
If we get the work done Sunday we will post here if we will open practice or not.

Track work almost complete. The layout is in and was a lot of work. Just need to lay some pipe and do some cleanup and it will be all set. We may be racing this coming Sunday! Stay tuned for more details! A HUGE THANK YOU to all who came out this weekend to help us get all the work done!!!

Going to fine tune some corners, and a little more rolling and the track will be ready.
Racing this Sunday. Gates open at 9 am, registration at 11am, start racing at noon! The all new timing system will be up and running. See ya all there!

While not the Official 2015 Opener we will run the program as always.
3 Rounds of Qualifiers and Mains.
Gates open at 9am, Driver Registration has been moved up to 10:00am to allow us to get everyone into the new scoring system and racing begins at High Noon!!!

Is this place still open? Was planning to finally make it out there for this season on Sunday, but no activity here makes me wonder if its still running.
Also, what classes have been getting turn out? I just want to make sure I show up with the right vehicles.
