Do we need to register ahead of time for this race?

I have not heard anything about registering early.

You do not have to register early. I would suggest being at the track by 9am so you have time to set-up and practice.

We've never really had a need for mod buggy, as blinky 17.5 is huge and growing.

SC is open motor, but honestly, anything more that a 13.5 on this layout is a total waste, it's a quick track and require more skill than motor. I had a 10.5 in my ST and it was pointless, no where to use anything close to that amount of power.

Talking

You can count me in. I have a sister-in-law living with MS. I'm planning on bringing the 2WD & 4x4 SC10s along with the T4. Now I just have to get them all ready. Anyone bringing a video camera? Maybe call a TV station or two. I got a niece that produces for ESPN, I think I'll drop her a line.

I run a Castle 5700kv 4pole that's geared appropriately for this track. I hit top speed on the sweeper, through to the straight and it doesn't seem like a "waste" at all.

That being said, I suppose i'll leave the mod buggy at home.

Bring the mod buggy and just run it with the stock buggies. If you're killing everyone else in speed and lap times, just turn your radio down to slow your car to be competitive.

To each their own .... I just felt like my cars are a heck of a lot more drive-able and consistent with a 13.5 than a 10.5. A 10.5 with a Tekin was just a missle and never even got close to top speed. Different combos, I'm sure results vary!

IF you are hitting top speed 2/3 to 3/4 down the straight, you are golden!

As for the buggy, bring it with, there may be a class for it.

You can race classes that are not listed on the flyer for this race if there is enough interest but trophies will only be awarded to the top 3 drivers of the classes listed.

Will do. Didn't really realize how "relaxed" the rules could be. I mean, it's only got a 3300 kv in it
