It is time for the new thread and all of the Solara smack talk to begin here.

The 2012 season will drop to 4 dates this year at all of the same great facilities we have run in the past. However,one date will be a double points race.:sneaky:

All of your dreams have come true, Leisure Hours will host the finale in what should prove to showcase the best that the greater Chicagoland has to offer prior to the nationals.

We are still working on the final class structure that will make sense for all of the area racers that may be attending this year's nationals.

As of now we know that the following will run;


21.5 2wd M-Chassis
21.5 190mm Rubber Tire F1
USGT
USVTA
17.5 ROAR "blinky" Stock Touring

We will be adding a second faster sedan class, just which one that will work for ALL four facilities.

Mark your calendars off for the following dates.

May 20 @ Harbor, June 10 @ Strictlt RC, July 8 @ Al's Hobby, and August 12 @ Leisure Hours Raceway

will there be a drop or not? i guess not - would create havok with the double points race. how would you decide which one will be double - pick a number out of a hat after the last race?

great to hear that all the folks that work so hard to put this on are willing to do it again this year. thank you!

Howard is an on-road stock slash master. he must be a pavement god, he beat me half the time in st. charles.

Did you schedule the race @ Al's so it won't rain that day ? :lol:

Other than the finale at Leisure, are there locations to go along with the dates ?

If only I could, 3 years running the rain gods have visited. Maybe we should just draw a number from a hat, ( pull the pill) and go straight to the mains :eek::lol:

Minis have gone brushless. Cool! I knew putting that Mongoose in my M05 was going to pay off. Now I just wish I wouldn't have sold that extra 21.5 motor. They're not going to allow boost in this class, are they?

You guys should call this SOLARA's Asphalt ASSault 2012....I like that title. :D

For real, I would not race anything outdoor except 4.5 with boost...no more slow crap stock motor and little car....man up and race the FAST stuff. I just can't stand racing with these slow guy and I have to slow myself down so they can catch up....

P.S...OK, do I make everyone attention now? Have a good weekend guys...

finally Slowara said something that makes sense....

This is summer outdoor racing Mod is a must! I havent even seen an RC car in years and would run mod.
